  1. Does everyone else think berry creme brulee is same as CS wildberry mousse? I ask this because I already have a large bottle of wildberry mousse and berry creme brulee was the main reason I picked millcreek to order from this time! What about cozy home smelling like CS cranberry marmalade and cinnamon vanilla smelling like CS strudel & spice? oooh! This is hard! Maybe I should try elements for aroma haven or fragrance oil haven, or ICS this time around. Wow, can someone point me in a direction or should I pick one with my eyes closed? I love sweet food fruity fattening scents. Been to BCN, NG, CS, BCS, KY, Bramble Berry, Candle Chem (won't go there any more), ... I think that's it so far. I was settling on these from millcreek until I found the similar scents from CS post. I like them, just already have them. warm vanilla sugar hillbilly homebrew mulled cider banana nut bread cozy home grandmas kitchen cinnamon vanilla harvest spice vanilla hazelnut mocha (hesitant, I havene't found many nutty or buttery scents that don't smell like burnt popcorn to me) kudzu christmas eve berry creme brulee debated the sweet orange & chili pepper, and butt naked
  2. I love their buttercream snickerdoodle and carrot cake, for tarts. They are wonderfully yummy!
  3. I am planning on ordering some fragrances from millcreek, my plans include berry creme brulee caramel apple and maybe cozy home spicy gingerbread any other suggestions that I should not miss from here? Thanks in advance for any comments. All are appreciated! I also need some black candle dye, are millcreeks dyes good?
  4. I do sell my tarts individually. Every shop around here offers them that way, so I guess it is what were used to. I would have no problem selling them in larger lots though.
  5. I do sell warmers to my retail crowd. I've never considered selling them to stores, since they can purchase them themselves. I love to buy the irvin country tinware warmers. One costs me about 13.00 after SH right now. What would you price them at 15.00? Would a shop even consider that?
  6. I like the idea of sniffies, are your sniffies cut up tarts?
  7. Very well put. I'll have to think about it longer. I've found I never regret taking my time making a decision. So, suggestions on getting tarts out there to new people? I have a website, but no one is going to buy tarts they can't smell until they have had a few and know them to be good. I am donating some to our local school for a fundraiser they have each year, they auction off the stuff donated.
  8. Off topic question, but I posted some wax and fo for sale in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago and I can't get into classifieds anymore (since I had to make a new username account). Do you know why I can't see the classifieds right now? I don't know if anyone has asked about them!
  9. Candybee, those fruity scents sound great. I have tried the coconut lime from CS, and though I liked it I am looking for a coconut lime that is heavier on the sweet and lighter on the lime, have you crossed one by chance?
  10. SoyChic, sound right up my alley, food scents and fruity scents! This is off topic, but how did you put the links at the bottom of your post?
  11. Thank you all for the great info and posts on scents! I can't wait to get ahold of some of these. I put in a nice summer scent in the tart burner today in anticipation of our warmer weather, we hit 60s this weekend!
  12. CandyBee, Thank you very much for getting me a start in the floral scents. I will get these to try. I will definately try the med fig from CS since it if fruity too. I tested a 'fruit slices' last summer, it was wonderful. It was fruit with sweet creamy notes, I think it was BCN or peak .. have to go looking. Any fruity scents for spring & summer that a person shouldn't pass up trying?
  13. Just wondering what some of your opinions are on selling tarts wholesale? I have stuck with retail for now, but would like to expand customer base. Should I just wait and let it expand naturally or try to jump into wholesale? I lean away from wholesale. I've been thinking of ways to get the tarts out to a new customer base. Been to a few craft fairs, not thinking that will be my route. Maybe 1 or 2 select local fairs. My question is, is it worth it? The $$ on tarts is so minimal, but wholesale is volume. Does anyone sell tarts wholesale that wants to share? You can pm to keep it private if you like. I pour a 1 oz tart, and by my calculations, I belive they cost me around 33 cents each. I buy my wax in 50 lbs boxes, but I still buy FO in small 8-16oz bottles because I just don't have that much volume yet. I sell my tarts for .90 to the public for retail. I would suspect .66 to resellers for wholesale would be about right, if they would even buy it. It sounds high to me, for wholesale. We have a few local shops that I think would be interested in my tarts, if they do not have to be 'loyal' by contract with other tart suppliers. Other local tarts of equal size sell at the shops for 1.25.
  14. Thanks candybee, I am sure you are right. Without some florals, my product line is not well rounded, but I have been trying to make sure I love what I make, that way there is excitement and pride in it. I should probably be more open minded, there may be a floral out there I love, just haven't found them yet! What would be a good place to start, if I were only to have 1. I love honeysuckle, lilac and daffodils (real ones!) I see lilac is a best seller at NG, also the love spell copy is a best seller. I've thought about renameing scents, just a little afraid I'll get confused myself! I have a website, and for scent descriptions I have used the exact wording of the place I purchased scent from. Do you think that is a wrong? Renaming scents made me think of this.
  15. Thanks carol k for the input. I'm looking up these scents as I type. I have a butt naked from BCN, I would of never guessed it to have cherry notes, then again maybe it doesn't. Anyone else?
  16. I've been thinking about scents for spring & summer ... any favorites out there? (I use 464) I appreciate all help & advice anyone gives. I am an addict to the sweet food ones, but I think I need to lighten up for warm weather though! I don' like FLORAL though. I am looking for a very sweet coconut lime. Heavy on the sweet, light on the lime. I have tried BCN and someone else, CS I think. I've tried Brandied Pear from CS (I think it smells great, but people just pass it by, maybe it's out of style) I'm also trying Strawberry Shortcake from CS (jury is still out) What supplier has the best --> Butt Naked Monkey Mouth Mango Papaya Does anyone like a --> lemon verbena What about a good subtle clean scent for spring? I love to light a candle or tart after I have cleaned the house, it's the finishing touch! These are some of my favorites so far that I keep in stock Buttercreme Snickerdoodle from Brambleberry (Wonderful!) Wildberry Mousse from CS (I think I can keep this on for summer) Blueberry Muffins from BCN Blueberry Cheesecake from CS (To die for!) Strudel & Spice from CS Cinnamon Buns from CS Banana Nut Bread from KY Caramel Pecan from KY Pecan Pie from CS Pomegranate from BCN (I think this will do for summer too) Creme Brulee fro KY (To die for!) I wrote a book again, sorry.
  17. I am sorry to jump into the middle of your post. I can't get back into my account, and the lost password and forgotten password isn't working. IwantItgreen, you were the last person I was talking to, you asked me how much I was selling my 4627 for. Can you point me to the right person to get my old account back open? I opened a new profile to get this far. Thanks for any help from anyone!
