  1. I would like to link my personal & business page but haven't figured out how. I get comments on my personal page but they don't know about my business page so they don't show up there. Would really love to know if & how to do this also.

    This might help: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/help/?question=409425

You can also put use the Help Center Search at the top of the page to find out also. I know I used the Help Center to set up my business page (not candles) from my personal page last fall.

  2. I looked into those images also. I think you can duplicate them up to 250,000 times or something along that line, and they can be used for packaging. I know I read in their disclaimer that you cannot use the image as a company logo.

I am not sure of the "Item for Resale" I think that may mean the image is the main part of the item being resold. But I would not think it would include using the image for repackaging. But I could be wrong.

  3. bah67 I would really appreciate the feedback on this one in wax! Thanks for the offer. I am curious to hear what you think.

I will let you know, I usually let mine cure for 5-7 days. Longer if I have a lot of candles to test. LOL.

Let me know about your testing of FOs from the candlemakers store (I saw your post in another thread). They are local and I would love to save on shipping.

  4. I needed to get some more Caramelized Pralines (one of my favorites!), Vanilla Hazelnut (another great one!), Violet Lime ( a new favorite) and Wildberry Mousse (my grandmother's favorite).

    So I ordered samples of:

    Cinnamon Buns

    Hawaiian Breeze

    Meadow

    Gold Rose

    Rose

    Lilac

    Gardenia

    Apples and Bourbon

    Hansel and Gretal

    Blueberry Cobbler

    Blueberry Cheesecake

    Juniper Breeze

    Strawberry Shortcake

    Buttercream

Cannot wait to start sniffing the bottles!:yay:

  5. I've tried a few different Lavender fragrance oils, such as bcn's, MC's, and real Lavender essent. oil, and by far the best smelling lavender is the Manuka Lavender from Elements. It is a lavender and honey scent that is so good, it does great in soywax too. The honey just gives it a warmth that can be lacking in other 'sharp' lavender scents. It doesn't have a flowery smell at all either, its just the perfect lavender honey scent!

I received a sample of Manuka Lavender last week from Elements. It smells great OOB and cannot wait until I pour it! I use 415 so I hope it does well!

  6. The latest testing........

Here are a few pics of the jelly jar, CD14 with Caramelized Pralines (9%). I think I can get 2 more burns before the end. I am going to start testing one with a CD12 just to see how it does in that size jars.

I forgot to take a pic of the Vanilla Hazelnut, CD16 in the frosted tumbler. It is to the end and had no hangup and burned well. I did test a CD14 with Fig Tree and it burned well also.

One question, when they burn about the same, which wick do you choose?

  7. Here are a few pics from my testers that I poured on 2.14. The first two are the jelly jars with a CD14 (7%) Carmalized Praline (CS) and are on their 8th burn. And the HT is fantastic I want to get a spoon and eat it!! it is sooooo buttery.

Here is the 80z tumbler with Vanilla Hazelnut (CS) (9%) with CD16. It's on its 8th burn also. Great HT too!

It seems to me they are doing well, although not to a FMP yet....but close. Should it take 8 or 9 burns to get a FMP with 415? There is still a little hangup on the sides but it is melting nicely!

    :wink2:

Thought I would get everyone's opinions and comments on how I am coming along. TIA

Also I poured a few new ones yesterday...Star Anise and Lilac from Filmore, Pomagranate (Henri Bendel) from Candlewic, Hot Maple Toddy and Cocanut Lime Verbena from the Candlemakers Store. So far the CT is good in most, but will give them a good 5-7 days cure time. Perfect tops, nice and smooth, only 1 had wet spots............What is the best way to deal with wet spots? Or with 100% soy do you just live with it. I really like the idea of not adding any additives if possible.

I still have a few to test from my 2.19 pour!!! Wildberry Mousse (CS) is great CT & HT. Strawberry Rhubarb (Rustic Essentials) is great too, both CT & HT. I have only tested them both a few times, since there are only so many hours in a day.:D

  8. Try a good art supply store like Utrecht, Blick or Pearl Art Supplies. I know that most carry vellum and in different sizes. I have bought vellum from all of them in the past. I think they were in pads. Although it's been a few years I cannot remember the cost.

Also, you might try Michael's or Hobby Lobby they may carry it also.

  9. Well I think (keeping my fingers crossed...knocking on wood...etc) I have finally found the right wick for the tumblers!!:yay: It is on its 3rd burn right now and is doing well with a CD16. The FO is Vanilla Hazelnut @ 9%--the 1oz pp did not get a great hot throw. I have another one with a CD18 (just in case the 16 didn't cut it). I will still test the CD18 just to see how it does.

And my testers for my jelly jars are doing well also. I am burning one with a CD14 with the FO Carmelized Pralines at 7% and it is doing really well with HT & CT. It almost makes me want to eat it!:shocked2: I also made one with a CD12 and will test next week.
