My bad, I was thinking of 1803 Candles.
-
They are actually popular over here in the NE sec of WI, many of the larger home decor stores carry them in Green Bay & Appleton. They do soy. I know someone mentioned they used to be a member on craftserver a while back.

Only a few hundred dollars? Don't feel too bad...so many have stuck in many thousands still learning:tiptoe:
-
I agree Luminous. My products, due to packaging, aren't cheap to ship, so I have to be careful if I want to continue to make tarts.
-
I have them in my home & love them...but I don't think they will ever put wicked candles out of business. Just a different market. There is an expense to having them too, have to replace the batteries every few months (I have them on a timer) & that isn't cheap either...just convenient & for those that want a good scent throw...those aren't for that at all.
-
You have me jealous...mine was shipped yesterday...but I live in WI...feel like a little kid waiting for a toy to come.

Oh Crap. :lipsrseal

:highfive: How awesome is that? Congrats & excellent idea.

Will see how good it is, may have to order more at the end of the week. I do love how fast they ship!!!

Already had to order this morning & try the new Caribbean Teakwood. Batten down your budgets :-) Yeah, right.
-
I can access it all the way thru the shopping cart.
-
Love SO&CP from NG...but only has a tinge of spice...otherwise to me it is a straight orange. Sells very well for me.

It's not just Ky...some other suppliers got wonky batches as well...thankfully the one I ordered (wasn't from KY) didn't affect the throw...just the appearance (honeycomb type like you mentioned) & adhesion to smaller molds. Able to use it in some larger molds, but I had to search for other wax. Now going thru the testing phase again. Ah, fun :-( I mentioned it to the owner & she acknowledged the problem, & offered to reimburse me, but since in my case the throw isn't affected, & I can use it in some molds, I couldn't do that. I appreciated her willingness, though.

Um, yeah, learned that first hand...had red dye on my face from touching it ...w/o knowing it was there. Was a major pain to get off...but I do prefer liquid dyes. Can be very messy:lipsrseal

So glad that works for you! Not a bad idea.
-
The market is so saturated with our craft right now. Tough decisions to make to stay afloat.
-
I know many customers prefer to know you are only charging them actual shipping cost. While I agree they don't need to know your cost of materials, etc. - shipping is something I don't have a problem with letting them know.
-
You can definitely tell the scents are a different quality in general. Not as good as I thought they were many years ago.
-
Beautiful presentation! Congratulations!!

See that WSP will have a dupe...not in stock yet, but it's on their site.
-
Yes, & you're right. I prefer my handmade soyblend now - except for a few I can't dupe yet...still a sucker for the tarts in Soft Blanket , I'm guilty.
-
Like the ones from Candle Source & NG as well.
-
Genuine Leather from Candle Source is excellent.

Haven't used Lovely Lilac, but I know that the oils are extremely concentrated & you only need 1/2 as much as you would would other suppliers. Lyschel has mentioned using 3%-4% in making candles with them.
Anyone Heard of 1812 Candle Company???
