  1. What about sea salt caramel? Has anyone tried this one and had good results in soy.....I have been looking at it and thinking maybe I could try my own caramel apple with it as well

I've tried it in 415 & a blend of paraffin & 3022...works well.  Almost too well.  I just can't take the super sweet scents any more ;)  I think it'd blend really nicely for a Caramel Apple.

  2. I think Jackbenimble had a great scent blend idea a few years back on the threads...I don't have time to look it up today.  But, it was a great idea of (if I remember right) an orange clove, autumn leaves & pumpkin type...maybe a little hayride too...I did that myself afterward ... dang that's good as well.

You know...I've never found one that was strong.  They've been excellent..but just lighter in nature.  Would be a good find. ;)  Here's hoping you find a good one.

  4. I have a fb business page and a group page also, but am finding it hard to do anything on. There are ton's of wax  vendors it seems like and the fb wax world seems to already have all of their favorite...craft fairs is my primary selling base but during the summer I don't ever set up due to the heat so was looking for a different ave. to sell through the summer months

This industry is most definitely oversaturated, no matter how superb your melts or candles are, just the reality.  I agree with Country Bee - I'd focus more on the local aspect & think outside the box.  All the very best to you!

  5. salt is just convenient and simple for my easily distracted brain... If it spills, nice easy clean up. It's also a nice visual to remind me that something is in the jar. How many times have I washed the scent jar before realizing something was in there i needed to check up on... :(

I have dpg, but never think to use it. Have also used IPM to dilute, like for reed diffusers.

To my sniffer, I find that dpg seems to skew the scent a bit.  Salt is so stinkin easy to play around with scents!!!
