Thank you, it's still a work in progress. The "Can Candles" have become very popular in the primitive gift shops in this area. As with any other candle, it must be placed on a heat resistant surface.

Wow! And I never thought I'd find a place to get rid of the boxes of half burned candles in my basement....lots of old test burn jars down there just waiting for a new home. lol

Forgot to note that I cure them for a minimum of 2 weeks before I sell them. Anything less than this doesn't produce the hot throw that I am happy with.

The WSP Crafter's Choice soy wicks are the only ones that I use now. Soy 2 wicks for 8, 12 & 16 oz jelly jars. Soy 3 wicks for larger jars. I double wick my 12 oz round & square tumbler jars with the Soy 2's. I've had great luck with these wicks. I used CO with other waxes, but didn't notice a huge difference. Using the C-3 with no additives, dyes, etc has produced nice smooth tops, no frosting, no wet spots. My candle making set up is in a very warm room, next to a wood pellet stove, so I think the slow cooling of the candles is the key for me.

C-3 is my wax of choice, after trying just about every soy wax on the market. I heat to 180, add fo @ 140 & pour when it has cooled to 120-130. No paraffin, no dyes, no additives...no problems. I am now blessed that my candles come out great, consistently. This doesn't happen overnight...as others mentioned, countless hours, days & months of testing along with alot of patience is the key. Not to mention $$$$$. I was ready to give up so many times, but was too darn stubborn to let the candles get the best of me! It will pay off if you hang in there and test, test, test. Good luck! Thank you! My covers have a daisy design cut-out on top & I do not use liners, therefore, folks can smell the candle scent without removing the lids.

Here are a few of my product photos. I've thought about doing away with the cloth under the covers of the jelly jars, to save a little time, but can't decide. My customers seem to love the look of the jars with the cloth. Any thoughts?

Good Morning, I use C-3 and have followed the manufacturer's instructions- heated to 180, added FO and poured at 120-125. I'm using 1 - 1.5 FO per lb. FO's are from LS, NG & Mr Missys. I feel that my hot throw could be a little stronger, regardless of which oils I use. I've tried adding a couple of spoonfuls of coconut oil, but didn't notice any difference. Someone recently told me that adding the FO at the higher temp is causing it to dissipate into the air while the wax is cooling. They suggested adding the FO at 125 and pouring immediately after adding it. Has anyone heard of this or tried it before with the C-3? Anyone using C-3 that can offer any advice? Thank you.

Thank you Judy. I've found that www.gemlitefragrance.com is the supplier and www.gemlite.com is the actual manufacturer of these oils and fragrances. I've spoken directly with the manufacturer and you can purchase directly from them for less. Since I can pick up the items, I can save on shipping as well. I haven't found a soy wax supplier in the Northeast, any closer than Pennsylvania. CandleWic seems to have the best price and lowest shipping fees that I've found so far. If anyone knows of a soy wax supplier that may be closer, please pass the info along. Thanks again.

Could someone please help me find the list of suppliers by state? I am new to Craft Server and cannot locate this link. I've found that Gemlite Fragrance is manufactured within driving distance to my home, therefore I can avoid shipping fees for FO's. Trying to so the same for soy wax. Thank you.
