  1. Thanks all! It's scented with some old patch, spearmint, and 10x vanilla oleoresin.
  2. Sweetcakes has a fab mango. Very strong and true to the fruit.
  3. I like it with a lily scent, or a green herbal.
  4. Pop the granular charcoal into a coffee grinder and grind into powder. Wait for a few minutes before opening the grinder lid, as the powder will float all over if you don't.
  5. I think they're all gorgeous, and I think the Raspberry Patchouli looks nice just the way it turned out.
  6. The background for my soap is the handmade paper in which I'm going to wrap it. I'm thrilled that I got the colors to match so closely.
  7. INCI stands for International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. Same in every language. I got myself into the habit of listing the common name, followed by INCI. Ingredients go from highest to lowest, including sodium hydroxide.
  8. Epsom salts will cause oozy, weepy soap. Don't ask me how I know. DSS are so loaded with minerals that they do just about the same thing as Epsom salts. I like medium sea salt, but I like rough and tough salt soaps.
  9. Hi, everybody! Just a quick intro. I've been making B&B for 12 years. It's never boring! I love it more now than I did when I first started. I live with three dogs (an elderly greyhound gramma, a senior boy, and a Havanese puppy who just turned one). We have two parrots--Sassafras (aka Sassy, age 26), and a cockatoo named Moki (age 20). We have two cats, Hobbes and Bruce. My husband is named John and his son (aka The Kid) lives with us full time and is a freshman in college. Both of my boys are out of my house and married. I am 50 and am tapping my toes, anxiously awaiting for one of my couples to decide when to make me a grandma. I see some familiar "faces" here!
