I've never found the perfect one of these scents:
Rose-never even gotten close
Non-bakery vanilla
Ozone or fresh-air scent-usually smell like men's colognes
Strawberry-most smell plastic-y to me
Apricot-usually have pukey notes
Pumpkin- I'd like one closer to a real pumpkin, w/out spice or crust

I like their Birthday Cake; I used it in paraffin.

Sorry, but I'm going to be no help. I think the MMS Dirt fo is worth it, it really does smell like dirt!
I really had my heart set on this oil, because it's gotten such good reviews from people whose opinion I respect.

Hi. Does anyone know of any realistic dirt or earth scents besides 'Earth' from Majestic Mountain Sage? I want to try theirs, but it's too pricey for 1 item, since that's all I need.
I asked in the Classys, but no replies...I've tried Taylored Concepts' and BNL's before, but they weren't even close. 1 smelled like patchouli, the other like a chemical. Thanks for any help.

I like their Cinnamon Buns, White Cake, Cranberry Relish, & Sugar Plum. I've always used Grade A. They have good customer svc. and will answer questions about the scents if you call.

I ordered the Cranberry Compote, Melon, Fig and Apricot, and the Cucumber Chaos; I've tried (and loved) the Cucumber Chaos, but the other 2 are new to me. I ordered today and already have a shipping notice! When they come in, I'll post reviews. Thanks for all the reviews and input.

Candle Cocoon has great oils and great customer service. My favs are sultry angel, raspberry cordial, cucumber melon, ginger peach, serendipity, vanilla voodoo.
I hardly ever see anyone mention her Ginger Peach; it's one of my favorites, too. It had a great throw in paraffin.

I want to order Cucumber Chaos from Candle Cocoon, so I'd like to try some other oils to fill out the order. Is their Cranberry Compote a good cranberry scent? Has anyone tried the new 'Melon, Fig and Apricot'? I haven't seen any reveiws for it. Thanks for any help!

Scent Works is my favorite; it's one of the strongest throwers of any oil I've tried. ICS' is close, and a little cheaper.

Not even at Halloween? You could rename it Graveyard or something like that and see if that sells it!
That's a really great idea for a Halloween scent.

My favorites from Taylored Concepts
Coffee House I smell Chocolate, Coffee and Hazelnut all together.
Kaluha Cafe O Lait Yum!! I even smell the liquor.
Barbara AL
I like TC's Coffee House, too.

How about s'mores? Graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow.

What can I do to eliminate the bloom on my beeswax ornaments? I actually like the look, but others don't. I had read somewhere that candle gloss would prevent the bloom, but I'd really prefer the ornaments to be matte rather than shiny. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for the replies; I'll give some of these a try.

Can anyone recommend a linen scent that smells like line-dried or freshly washed sheets, but not like fabric softener? I had a few scents like that, but the companies are no longer in business. Thanks for any help.

I use glycerin for preserving flowers, and some that I've had for a long time is still clear. So, it seems like something may have been mixed with it. Hopefully, the seller will resolve the issue for you.

The CMS staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their scents; they will describe them for you and explain what makes one gingerbread , for example, different from another. I don't order often as I don't do candles anymore, but I think they do a good job on their bakery scents-blueberry muffins, Hot Orange Danish, cinnamon buns, white cake, etc. They have some good fruity scents, too- Cranberry Relish is one of my favorites. I had other recs. that I lost when my computer crashed. Hope you'll post about your samples.

I haven't tried others to compare, but Soap Silly's Marshmallow (at Daystar now) is a true marshmallow scent.

Very pretty and Spring-y! I think we'll all be glad to see Spring this year.
-
I love them; hope you sell a bunch.

Too cute! Your mom needs to be selling her work.

Taylored Concepts has a Cheesecake oil that is fantastic-it is pure graham cracker and very strong.

For a plain cranberry, my favorite is The Candlemaker's Store's
Cranberry Relish. To me, it smells just as you described- nice fresh cranberry with no spice or other notes. I've only used it in paraffin, but it had a good hot throw in all the waxes I tested it in.
What FOs do you have the most of because of the search for perfection?

I've never found a strawberry that I liked, either. They always have an underlying plastic-type smell to me.
