  1. Has anyone tried the Gingerbread from CS yet? I just saw that they now have this today. I need to get an order put in there, and I will definatley be getting this to try!! Is the Fall sale that was mentioned earlier, is that on 1oz sizes, or is it some other sale?? I wish they would do free shipping!!! I took advantage of that the last time!!

  2. Thats what I use. The amt of fo just depends on the scent. I can go from .9 (strong lavenders) to 1.6 oz PP. I use CO and that has helped me average it out to 1.3 oz/PP in most scents.

I could sit and read all the old posts forever!! unfortunately, I have 3 kids and a full time job, lol. Good luck w/ the addiction. When I first started it was nothing for me to be up till 2 or 3 in the am, making candles!

  5. I ordered not too long ago and none of mine leaked! thank goodness. We( all of us candlemakers) spend too much money on them to be able to afford that! I would send them all back and have them re ship new ones at their expense if that many are leaking. Thats crazy! but then you hate to have to hassle w/ all that too!!! GRRRR thats aggravating. Please let us know what ya find out, just for future references. I always have $100+ orders from them and if I am going to spend that, I want stuff to be right!

  6. I thought so too when I used my sample. It has been awhile ago, but seems that it got better, maybe the longer I smelled it the less it smelled like that. but that also was my first impression. It was a sample and I never bought more to work on making it better.

  7. I am by no means an expert, I am very new at this myself. But, my understanding is that pour temp doesnt affect scent throw, only how the product sets up. I believe just the temp at which you add fo affects how the oil binds/blends w/ the base product, and there are varying opinions about which is better, higher or lower temps. I add my fo around 160-170 now, I used to add at a little lower temp, but I got impatient and more of the literature out there seems to say better to add at higher temp, so thats what i do. Hth, :)

  8. Wow, those are some great pumpkin suggestions! I LOVE pumpkin and will definatley be trying them out!! I dont have any residue on the floors when I use the room spray. I used it in my bathroom and on kitchen wood floors, no residue or film on either one. It seems to really bind/mix w/ the oil . I had just gotten some to sample and try out, but I am definatley going to get the gallon the next time I go down there and pick up my order! Thanks for all the pumpkin ideas!

  9. wow, that just sounds confusing!! LOL I was cleaning my work room and found the pkg for the base I used for the room spray. here are the ingredients for it:

FDA approved SD alcohol, Glycerin, Propylene glycol, & benzophenone.

then they tell you to also list your FO scent and any dye you may use.

  10. This is just some more info from the Candlemakers site, but no ingredients. I am going to email them.

"For Air Freshener Sprays you can make it stronger but try to keep it under 9%. The formula disperses completely in the air when sprayed and the fragrance is the only thing that will linger in the air, never reaching the floor. If you make it too strong, it will hang in the air and burn your eyes when you walk through where you had previously sprayed. Color (Tint slightly) with water based FD&C colors only. Do not use your oil based Candle Colors for this. Candle colors are oil based, will not mix properly, and can stain surfaces if sprayed on them."
