I see there is a sticky thread that lists all the fo's that throw well in soy. What an awesome idea! Unfortunately, there are so many different soy waxes out there and not all of those scents will throw well in them.
Can we start a thread where people state what wax they are using and then state the suppliers and FO's they have found to work well in their wax of choice?
I can start by listing a few that I have found. I will add more once I go over my scent list and test more too.
For the C3 wax, I have had spectacular luck with the following:
Cucumber Melon (BCN)
Baby Magic (Save on Scents) This will knock your socks off! I have a customer who simply leaves the candle lid off the candle in their bedroom and the cold throw scents up the room just fine. The hot throw is amazing too. It also works great in a reed diffuser
Harvest (BCN)
Home Sweet Home (BCN)
Spiced Cranberry (BCN)
Pearberry (CS)
Pumpkin Cheesecake (BCS) Another one that will knock your socks off!
These are scents that are right off the top of my head.
I will reply with more soon...stay tuned hehe

Hi there,
I have been in a testing frenzie:tongue2: with the GB 464 wax.
I have been a c3 user and wanted to try a new wax that I have read good things about...the 464.
Anyways, I love the wax, it turns out so smooth with little to mostly no frosting, no sink holes, mottling, etc. However, I am so dissapointed with the scent throw. With the C3 wax, I would always get a good scent throw (with most scents)the next day when I was just testing the wicks. With the 464 I get little to no scent throw when testing the wicks and for the scents that I am getting a good scent throw, it is a faint smell.
For those of you who are using the 464, how long in general would you say you let your candles cure before getting an "excellent" throw.
Some of you have said on here that the throw is amazing and I am just so confused at that.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am using quality FO's and have tested with 3 different wicks. I really like the way the wax behaves with the exception of one of the most important things to me......the scent throw.
Thank you
Christina

Good Morning!
Would anyone mind sharing the scents they have found to throw well in the Golden Brand 464 wax?
I am working on switching over to this wax but am having problems with getting a good hot throw with it.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone
I am new to this forum and have been reading and have found some very helpful and useful info.
However, I am very frustrated this morning. I used to be a C3 wax user but have recently decided to switch waxes and have been testing with the GB 464 because I have read so many good things about it. Especially that it is said to produce an excellent hot throw.
I have tested the following scents:
Promiseberry (a concoction of my own that includes multiple berry scents)
Sunwashed Linen from Candle Science (rated 3 leaves)
Cucumber Melon from BCN (usually a nice strong scent)
Sweet Pea from CS
Fresh Cut Grass from BCN
Pearberry from CS
Here is my problem: I am not getting a hot throw with any of these that I am happy with at all. I keep asking myself; Why would someone buy one of my 3" jar candles for almost $10 that doesn't scent up a room when they can just go to Gold Canyon and by a small 5oz baby jar for around that price and it will scent up their whole house?
I'm so frustrated.
I have been testing with the ECO Wicks, I have also tested some with the CD wicks since those are what i used with the C3 wax.
I am mixing the scent at around 185 degrees, I stir it well.
When I burn the candles, I am happy with the way they burn with certain wicks but am not getting a very good scent throw at all.
Can anyone please help me?
Would anyone mind sharing which scents they have found to work well in the 464 wax?
I'm just at wits end over here. I have customers who cannot wait for the new product but I just can't get past this testing phase.
I just poured the Peach FO from CS to test with that. My fingers are crossed.
Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Ooops...lol I guess i better read that sticky post better.
I realize it is not totally dependent on the wax but the wax sure has a lot to do with it.
Thanks
