yes -- I have sent a total of 3 invoices !! all ignored.

Here's my short scenerio -- I'm feeling very upset about this. I have been pouring candles for almost 8 years now -- I also have a candle pouring partner... we both have other jobs -- I still have mine, becuase I can retire in 3 years. However, my partner had another job for over 7 years, in the local abstract office - her boss was handing our candles out at closings, and usualy bought about a case a month -- not a lot, but we did make a few conatcts from those being handed out. Well the "boss" and my partner had a "difference of opinion" about several things and she ended up firing my partner i.. She is now at our shop full time so this is a good thing for us -- it has been about 9 months since she left that job and now the bosses friend has started making candles in the same jar we are using probably trying to pass them off as ours or at least trying to make them look like ours.. we offer over 60 scents -- they have 6 scents... soo should I be flattered they are trying to copy us --- I'm not -- I just keep thinking -- they could have at least been original... arggggg - I think I need to have someone buy one so I can cretique it... ha - OH - by the way the boss still ows us for 3 cases -- which our accountant said -- we might as well just write off.. Our husbands -- say -- they wont make it..

yep silicone -- will not go back to stickums -- and glue dots are a waste of time -- only use them in baskets to keep stuff from sliding around. We also try to wick ahead, but have found we can use silicone after about 30 minutes - in a pinch -

we've been pretty busy in the shop we have 4 fundraisers out right now - last Thursday we poured just over 300 in about 4 hours - that's 2 of us pouring and one labeling - and keeping wax cut for us - -- Jars were pre-wicked..

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing but I have 3 turkey fryers that my hubby set up for me -- and it does have the element exposed in the wax -- I have been using this for 2 1/2 years -- works great -- although do not let the wax get below the element in the bottom -- (don't ask me how I know to keep the lid close HA) I can melt a case a wax at a time in each one -- and use pour pots to mix in. I also keep my temp at 225 deg.

I gotta bow down !!! HA -- that was the best slideshow about hurricanes I have ever seen -- It makes me want to try this again -- after my last 3 failed attempts --

Does anyone one here know if I can write off shipping on supplies or shipping to my customers ? I didn't think about this last year and am now wondering if this is possible

I have tried glue dots -- waste of time I have tried Wick-stickems - love them -- but found I can save boookooo $$$ by using clear silacone - wally world brand -- is about $1.97 will wick over 600 jars --- cant beat that --best to let set 2-3 hours ---- or have a wicking party the night before ..... I usually let it set for 30 minutes --- and it has been fine !!

I use the waxy empty lable paper to set my pour pots on -- also on top of my scale. -- A wire wisk to stir with, and bed pads (yep bed pads) to line my tables so my drips and spills are easily cleaned up !!

The couple of times I've tried hurricanes, I put my insert in and added my embeds -- (flowers) but they just wanted to float -- how the heck do you hold your embeds in ?? any great tips ??

I'm stuck on the peppermint too -- and christmas -- I guess it's on my mind -- so how about: Santas soap or so-licious or minty-licious

I wanna play too -- I tried hurricanes about 6 -8 months ago and got discouraged by my embeds floating to the top -- this looks very manageable --- these are really nice
