Hi Holly,
I have a soy line, a paraffin line. (JS 123 and ADM soy. I am testing the JS soy presently)
I have had really great luck with the pumpkin from Just Scent (for a spicy scent). This was my best selling pumpkin from Missy's and I have not been able to duplicate it since. I was so glad to get it back again when Becky opened up shop last year.
You may also try BNL's spiced pumpkin, it is really strong in my soy. I have had great luck with pumpkin log from Southern Scentsations. I also use the pumpkin fudge from Keystone (which to my nose is exactly like vanilla pumpkin from SS) and all are fab in my waxes.
I am guessing it could be that your wax may not be throwing this scent for ya. Some soys just have issues with certain scents. Another factor is that sometimes your nose will not detect certain scents as strong as others. Although you say you can smell your store bought candle......it is odd. I am wondering if your pouring factors were off? Have you repoured the same scent with different variables? I hate it when you hear good results from someone and you try it and get nothing. Very frustrating. Could just be the wax.
I have tried so many soys before I decided to stick with ADM. Lately I am testing JS soy, and it throws as well if not better. so that is another option, as you already use her 123. That is my favorite paraffin, btw, and what I use exclusively for our paraffin line.

We use adm soy and a CD 16. in most oils. I also use the 51-32 or 44-32 zinc core with a 50/50 blend and it works great too.
I have used the RRd's and they also are good in this jar, but they tend to bend a bit too much for me, so I switched to CD's.

Congrats! Like a college professor told me once, "At the very edge of frustration is where learning occurs."
That is so true. I like that one!

My newest favorite is cranberry spice from Just Scent..love it! I dislike pine and cinnamon scents, so most of the 'christmas' scents do not agree with me!
You could also try appleberry spice from just scent! nummy, nummy, yummy!
Red clove from Peak is a good one though! I second or third or whatever!
I agree! It is totally different than the usual fare--BCN etc. It really is more realistic. I am going to debut it this season, and try to get the regular customers to switch to it. I sell tons of Sp. Cranberry from BCN, but this one is so much better IMO.
You also mentioned the appleberry spice, I haven't tried it, but was just burning JS's Blueberry Griddlecakes and it is just like BCN's but stronger. I am definitely switching to this one.

If you look at the scent names, they are the same as the Beanpod line. Just buy them and repackage them!

I use ADM soy too, and have for over two years. It is an awesome soy wax, much better than any other I have used before.
Anyhow, I also am having shipping issues, and they are quite frequent with ADM, but it is a good wax. I don't know how it compares to CB3, but I really like it compared to GF and others. My problem is the fact that ADM is always inconsistant in shipping, I have received several bags that were damaged, (I received mine melted once and the bags were oily and falling apart when we tried to move them) and it was like pulling teeth to get Chempoint to replace the damaged product. If I had the opportunity to order from someone else I would, but they are the only supplier around. If you are going to order this wax, be prepared to possibly have issues with shipping. I order several thousand pounds to avoid having to reorder more often. I am not saying they are a bad company, just that every person I have dealt with has not been on the same page and has screwed up our orders. Very irritating to say the least.

I have tried all the mentioned scents, and this one is so realistic it is incredible! Absolutely wonderful scent, when I first poured it, I was so amazed at how realistic it was. My customers tell us we have the best rose candle on the market:)
