  1. Excellent. You've just given me the answer I was seeking. Thank you!
  2. yes & I've bookmarked it. That's a good place & helpful. Can't imagine how you found it...
  3. How do you get the paper liner to stay normal-looking with all the compressing you must have to do?
  4. What pillar wax do you all like to use?
  5. A blend of soywax (more than 50%) and paraffin wax
  6. Why would a pillar candle (2x3") made with a paraffin blend wax split all the way down one side after it's burned down about an inch? I've never had that happen in the past, but I've had 2 do it in the last week.
  7. Thanks, off for a read. Thought I'd read 'em all, but always good again.
  8. That's a nice site, thanks. However, it has pretty much the same descriptions as what I've already read elsewhere. My question is more, I suppose, when two products, or a combo of products, will do a similar function, is there anything showing one's better than another? Example: Suttocide A, when used in conjunction with LiquaPar Oil versus Germaben II-E alone. Or am I making too big a concern over it all?
  9. I like making salt/sugar scrubs, lotions, etc. for my use, and occasionally my sister or a friend will purloin something they see, so I want preservatives in them. I've gotten a lot of diff ones - Germaben II E, Germaben II, Optiphen, Suttocide, Phenonip... The idiot question is, where can I learn which one goes in what? Each has a description of what it's good for, but like, my scrubs are oils. Do I use one for oils, or one for water since my wet hand goes in it? Is there a rule of thumb, like, this one's best for soaps...this for lotions, etc.? Thanks~
  10. yeah, agilator eyes poking out of the water and watching everything you're doing.

  14. ah...thank you. Figured something like that, but thought they could still get damaged. Thanks again~
  15. This is an 'educate me' question: When you burn a candle inside these, why doesn't the outer shell melt?
  16. They look fine to me. Maybe remove them, when sold, and place them in a long narrow ziplock bag. That's pretty, how you have them.
  17. That's helpful, thanks. Maybe I should mildly branch out into these online shops to test the waters. I appreciate the advice from all of you.
  18. That was kind of you both. Think I'll make some. ty
  19. They are really pretty. Bet you have fun making those. I love the 4th one.
  20. In Utah. Haven't decided on a website yet. My daughter's in a diff State and has friends who want things, and I'm thinking a website might be a way to go. Dunno. Not sure about much of anything right now.
  21. Yes, I'm worried as well. I've made two calls so far today on the road to getting insurance, thanks to all of your helpful advice. I thought about esty. I buy things for myself from there, time to time.
