  1. The fragrances I sell are strictly mandated by the most important people in my business..............my CUSTOMERS. I wonder how many would be repeat customers if I suggested when THEY specifically ask for a "foodie type scent" that the scent they are wanting were CHEAP Wal-Mart scents, and try to steer them onto a "luxury" scent? I would probably end up, just as you have done here, insult their intelligence and might as well kiss them good by right along with my business. PEOPLE know what THEY want...........every person has their favorite. Obviously you have yet to learn that, and it sounds like you just might have to learn it the hard way!

  2. I get a lot of oils from Candlescience. I have never had one I did not like. I have never tried their Hydrangea but Mr. Missy's is great. I cannot imagine one being better. I think Candlescience has met its match, though, and again I love their oils.

His website is mrmissyscandles.com. He has the best selection of pottery I have ever seen.

I think someone posted earlier that they were getting sample bottles in soon so I'm guessing they are going to have them.

    Oops!! this posted twice. Sorry!!

  3. I have never had Candlescience's hydrangea but I love their oils too. This hydrangea is the only one I have ever smelled and I cannot imagine one being better. It is just so true. A really gorgeous fragrance. Candlescience is hard to beat, everything I have ever gotten from them has been fantastic, but they may have met their match in Mr. Missy.

His web is www.mrmissyscandles.com He has the most awesome pottery selection I have ever seen. I am really loving his oils too!!!

I think I saw where someone said they were getting in sample bottles so I am guessing they will have them.

  4. A quick update --- The Tiramisu, Caffe Latte, and Hydrangea are all to die for. Of note, I had to wick up a size on the Latte and the Tiramisu, but they seem to be heavier oils anyway. I can't wait to hear how well they are working for everyone else!! Please, please post your results!!

  5. Okay, I have the Black Cherry burning upstairs and the Apple Crisp burning downstairs. They are blowing me away!! I LOVE THEM. I smell more cinnamon and spice with the AC burning which is fine for me. My customers love cinnamon-type scents. I am getting a strong throw with it. Hot throw and cold throw is awesome. I use 4045H paraffin wax and using LX series wicks. I will be a multi-repeat customer that is for sure. I have not tested the other scents yet, but I am sure I'll be much impressed. Yes, customer service was excellent for me to. Whatever bugs there were before seem to be totally gone. Anyone waiting, don't wait too long. Those prices cannot last long!!!!! Thanks Mr. Missy!!

  6. Just a head's up to anyone interested. I received my oils yesterday afternoon (late) and am pouring them in wax now. I will have a final review later on today, but I just had to say that OOB they are fabulous. I have ordered from just about every major FO company and these are second to none, OOB of course, but I have a feeling I am not going to be disappointed. The ones I got were Tiramisu, which smells exactly like the real thing; Caffe Latte, I sell a lot of coffee flavors and this is by far, OOB, the best I have purchased. You can smell the cream, cinnamon and coffee in beautiful porpotions, absolutely perfect; Apple Crisp, wonderful, I can smell cinnamon, apples, and crust, just beautiful; Hydrangea, exact duplicate to the true flower, and Black Cherry which is so strong and true. These oils are fabulous. I cannot wait to unmold and burn them.

  7. I get my beads from aromabeadsonline and mix about a cupful to a jar with about 2 tablespoons of FO and drops of the color to desired color. You are right, it does not mix real well, but you kind of stir that up, add the beads and shake every 30 minutes or so to keep them mixed up as all the FO and color will sink. As it soaks up, it soaks up everything. Just every so often give them a good shake until it is all absorbed. HTH

Just an after thought....., if some beads (I have only used theirs and they soak like crazy) are harder to soak up, maybe try mixing a little polysorb 20 with the FO before adding the color. Of course I have never tried this but it sounds logical.

  8. Do not use the dye chips!!! I actually tried it. I melted a tiny bit and poured it over them and shook them up really good. They clumped up and stuck together. It was a mess to say the least. I had to just about chisel them apart little by little to get them out of the jar I was soaking them in with the FO. Plain old food coloring works well for me, or the B&B dyes. HTH:smiley2:

  9. With all the negativity from Shelby and the others, I'm thinking there must be something up with Mr. Missy's. I am anxious to try them. I figure with that much publicity they are either going to be one of the best or truly one of the worst. You know a "where there's smoke there's fire" kind of thing. With those prices I truly hope they are fantastic. And that POTTERY!! I have been looking for ages trying to find some that is affordable. The selection is tremendous. That is a huge up and coming where I am at right now and I would love to be able to cash in on that without having to give so much for the container. I had even thought about having a ceramic mold made and just making my own as I have done ceramics in the past. Again, too costly to be able to make any money on it.

I have never had any luck with Save On Scents, although I know others have. Maybe it was just the ones I tried though.

I have never been disappointed with Candlescience. Very strong oils, IMO.

  10. I am very satisfied with the suppliers I use now and really am not looking for a new supplier. I am, though, interested in saving money where I can, and those prices are what is getting my attention. So, I am going to order from Mr. Missy, wax and oils, and will post a completely unbiased opinion on what I find. I do not know of the original Missy's, nor have I ever heard anything about them other than just on this post. My opinion will be just that, my opinion, just as honest as I can give it. :smiley2:

  11. I agree with you Jenny, there is obviously bad history here and there is obviously nothing this company can do now to repair it, even though they gave it a good shot IMO. I have dealt with a few companies that did not even care this much. I'm sure the product and service will speak for itself, which is the way it should be. :cheesy2:

  12. Let me clarify too........it is a fantastic deal, really and truly is, but I would rather just pay the shipping to test a bottle or two. Anyway, that's just me. I was not knocking your deal. It's just times are hard and well 50 bucks is 50 bucks...........spent well if the product is great, blown if not. That's not just on your company, it would be that way for me on anything these days. Maybe in the future you will offer samples or smaller sizes without the free shipping.
