Candybee - have you used it? How did it feel? Did it affect the lather at all?
-
I'd do as others said - let it sit for a couple days. Hopefully it will set up.
I had one that stayed soft and never set up. I don't remember if it was the recipe or FO or what happened, but it was a dud.
-
Have you tried more than one FO in the wax? Do you have a picture of what is going wrong?
-
I did. In my bathroom. Wasn't a test-burn or anything, just a candle up on the shelf. Scares me, thinking back on it.
-
Glad ya like it.
-
I agree that a day (24 hours) should be sufficient. For testing throw, I know some people like to wait longer, but I'm not one who tends to keep a FO around if it needs a long cure time.

Nice thing about the PP debit is quick access to your PP cash. No waiting for the transfers.
But I don't know... I never noticed debit fees on that like my bank does. Haven't used the PP card for a while. Maybe there are debit fees?

No problem. It was warranted and needed. There's probably more out there that need to be moved; I'll get to them soon as I can.
-
Pretty self-explanatory. :smiley2: We'll be moving some threads over here, but wickless discussion now goes in this section.

Soooo, let me try and make sure I'm hearing you correctly.
You'd like a Melt & Pour Section on the forum?
-
I forgot about that Muller's Lane one. I think I had it bookmarked before (and probably still do). Thanks!!

You'll find a bunch of threads in this section with people showcasing their logos. Many of them give props to who did it. Let us know how things pan out for you

They should have contact info. or something to assist you.

It is annoying, but like others said, I deduct it as if it is gone and keep tabs on it through the online banking. There's a couple places that I've used that take a while to go through.

It does look similar, but I think that is because, as other said, it follows a pretty standard format of websites. Many, many websites -- it is a very common format. Did you make yours from a template? When following a standard template, it is the pictures, wording and graphics that are going to make it unique. I do see those similarities, but the colors and designs are different.

That is hard. If you had done the fair before, you might have a better idea of how good you'd do. Are they doing it more for a favor for you, or are they hoping for income? I would think you would have to move a lot of product to pay someone a decent price for spending the day at a fair. But if they're doing it as part favor with some compensation, that's different, too. Have you discussed that with them?

Oh wow. You done good. Love the name, the layers, the swirls... great looking soaps.
-
Those are super cute - very fun looking.
-
Very cool.

Lookin' good. Can't wait to see the finished site.

The background is too busy and doesn't seem to go with the "feel" you are presenting. I like the black and white, it reminds me of Watkins, that old-time apothecary look. But the busy (colored) background detracts from that.

That's too bad. Was a nice, strong one. Good mixer, too.
-
That's looking good, Julie.
I haven't made my pumpkin soap in a while. Sigh... I add the puree at trace. Never had a problem. I take out some before adding, though, and put the TD in it for the "whipped" topping.
Mmm. That pumpkin patch sounds goooood.

I like the labels; elegant. The tops throw me off as well. If you're keeping he sliver color, maybe some dome tops? Otherwise, I'd probably go with some black flip tops.
Branching out beyond candles, soaps, etc.

Is anyone moving towards other crafts as a business venture? I see a variety of crafts in the "other crafts" section... just wondering if anyone is having success with handcrafted goods beyond candles, soaps, b&b.
