  1. I don't use 464 wax so I can't help you with that but for candle making I stick with the fragrance oils, I think essentials oils are more for bath and body products. If you use only the fragrance oils and still aren't getting good cold and hot throws maybe try using a different wax, I use Soy125 from KY and I add oil at around 150 (1 ounce per lb) and stir real good, then just before I pour at around 100 degrees I stir really good again. Cure time for me is at least 1 week or longer. I get a good hot and cold throw. Haven't tried Palm wax yet so can't help you on that either.

  2. Thanks for the info, I think I will get it from WSP..but am curious about the hemp ( it is also pretty pricey) I am going to put it on my list to try in the future.

  3. I was wondering if any of you soapers have bought any mp bases from Go Planet Earth? I have been a candle maker for many years but am having fun playing with making soaps for gifts this year for my grandkids and family. After coming on this site and seeing everyones creations it inspired me to try the mp first before trying to tackle the cp soaps. I purchased some molds from Go Planet Earth and was very pleased with the products, I purchased my mp base from NG but was thinking about trying Go Planet Earth's bases. Anyone tried them? Oh and has anyone tried the Hemp Base? Thanks.

  4. I love Natures Garden, they have great customer service, the fragrances I have gotten from them throw good hot and cold and they are very reasonable with their shipping. They are always coming out with new fragrances for each season. I just placed a large order today and I will have it by Thursday this week, you can't beat that. :rolleyes2

  5. Yes humidity levels do effect how your candles burn. Another thing that effects them is altitude. I make my candles and burn them at home (Ohio) and they are fine, then we go up to Maine to our cabin and the candles don't burn as well. So I now wick up my candles that I take up there to burn. It also could be your customer that isn't burning it correctly, placing it in drafty areas or triming the wick too short, some customers just don't know how to burn a candle correctly. So it may not be anything you have done.

  6. Wow, your soaps are always beautiful... I have just started with M&P, which is fun...would love to try CP but am leary because of the lye. I guess I will play with the MP and after I have mastered that then maybe I will be ready to move on to CP...I don't know why but I find it scary to use lye..is this normal???
