  1. When I calculate the amount of fo needed for my sugar scrub, do I calculate from the TOTAL amount the recipe will make-in other words ( oils and butters and waxes and preservative AND the SUGAR) ?

So if my recipe makes 120 oz when finished - do I multiply .02 by 120 and get 2% f.o. For my scrub?

    thanks all - vanessa

  2. Hi all!

So I've added a new soap to my line. Bb's tobacco & bay leaf. This is a pic of the finished soap.

It is a very sophisticated fragrance. I smell

The tobacco leaf comin through. Has wonderful reviews.

My question - what to name it?

I'd like to name it something tobacco BUT

A tobacco name that won't turn ppl off ?

    What do you all think?

    Vanessa

  3. I know I sell them like crazy expecially to family's with young kids.  My phone usually starts ringing in April, getting ready for the  buggy season!  With the cost of EO's, just don't underprice yourself!!  I get $8.00 for mine and no one ever questions the price.

Am I mistaken...I thought you were not able to sell bug off of any sort because it is considered a pharmaceutical. I remember wanting to sell this myself a couple years ago & was told I cannot?

  4. I use Dead Sea Salts in my blend but to avoid clumping, use either Dendritic Salt or Natrasorb (tapioca powder) mixed in with the fragrance or essential oil. San Francisco Salt Works has some good recipes. I like about equal mix of Dead Sea, Fine Sea, Pacifica for my blend with the Dendritic added. HTHSteve

So the Dead Sea salt will not cause your salts to become wet when they are stored?

  5. Hi all,

I purchased some Dead Sea salts by mistake.

What can I make with these?

From my searching they seem to be difficult in bath salts as they cause them to become liquid & slushy.

Do they work in bath bombs? Or will they make the bombs attract moisture also?

    Thank you much, Vanessa
