  1. I use LOTS of their oils. For the most part, I've been very pleased with them. There are some, however, that just don't fit the bill and failed miserably at attaining a good scent throw.

Here are three fragrances to avoid:

    Georgia Sunrise

    Mardi Gras

Butterfly Hugs (this one works well in incense though)

Butterfly Hugs did well for me in C-3 in tarts

  2. FYI: If you have a Bed, Bath & Beyond store near you, they sell the fluted tart molds in the kitchen section. They make a perfect one ounce tart :)

Thank you for that. I will keep that in mind when we move stateside

  3. So my interest in making the cute bakery molds has peaked. I have been searching on how to make the frosting with wax, i use soy.

When you drizzle on "icing" for like a cinnamon roll, is that all you do, drizzle on the wax? Also one more question, im looking into making the chocolate chip cookies ect,,, But how do you make the chocolate chips brown? Since you would pour one color into the mold, is there a paint to use?

Thank you so much, you ladies have a wealth of info and i love learning!!

  4. Im needing the metal tart molds, individual, like Yankee, that are 1 oz. I got mine last year off ebay, but that seller no longer has any for sale. I have found sizes at bcn and im not sure what one to get. Is the 2.25 or 2.50 the ones that hold 1 oz? Anyone have them? Im looking for exactly 1oz or just over a tad. Any input is appreciated. I will be ordering from bcn since i know they ship to me and i have to order some oils, thanks

  5. The last pound or two of Lick Me All Over from NG that I bought is not acting/smelling like the same FO I've been using for the last few years when it comes to CP. I did a few batches of CP out of a newer bottle bought in October that reeks of chemical and roses even after cure... odd.

Anybody else notice anything different in your CP. I've had one of my wholesale accounts notice it, as well as a few customers so I've pulled it for the moment. In candles it's still fine, so I'm thinking the lye is doing somthing funky to it. Maybe they subbed out something, I don't know.

Of course, nobody at NG answers the damn phone this week either so that doesn't help.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything.

Not an answer to your question, but i had the same problem with them not answering. I stayed up late ( time difference) cause i messed up soemthing on my order and they wouldnt answer their phone, so i emailed, and it was answered that day. hth

  6. well here is my tip

try to label them as soon as you can

I run into I make some up then I do other things go back days later and have a hard time telling which brown tarts are cinnamon buns, rustic woods or so on. When you have all those scents in your house you can get candle makers nose where you can't tell them apart.

I still have a nice group of tarts I can't exactly tell what they are, lol. I end up grouping some up and calling it mystery tarts or something silly like that.

What i do with mine, is i line my counter with foil and each tart batch i make, i write on the foil in front of it and section it off with permanent marker so i always know what kind it is.

  7. Ditto that. Sweet tooth is nothing special, IMO. I couldn't give it away, same with Amish Quilt.

Avalanche is super strong and a great scent for this time of year. Also candy cane. The best I have tried.

Amish Quilts is an awesome seller for me

  8. CS has a nice Sun Washed Linen scent. Plus they have golden rose and regular (red) rose. Those would smell awesome mixed. But not knowing who her oil supplier(s) are you will have to wing it.

It might help to purchase one of the tarts to get an idea of how the finished fragrance would smell.

BTW-- is it worth the effort and your resources to accommodate this customer? Will she be making orders or just a one time purchase? I hesitate to try something out for a one time buyer. Especially if its only 1-2 tarts. Simply not worth my money and trouble.

Thanks, i will look into those and possibly order from the tart maker who had the scent, her rep isnt very good so im weary. This customer is a loyal one of mine, so it would definitely be worth it for me =0) She had just made a purchase from another wahm and they included the other tart makers tart as a sample, thats how she came accross it. Thank you again!! :yay:

  9. i have a customer that is wanting this scent. I did a search and came up with nothing. She had received a sample from another tart maker, so i went to the site and got this description

    Rosewater Scented Linen

    Signature Blend

Fresh linens on the clothesline spritzed with light rosewater.

Im sure i can make it myself, but the linen fo, is there a bunch of different ones that smell different? If so, who has the best? Same with the rose water. Thank you so much :yay:

  10. Our stores on base quit selling tea lights, and i bought them out of the last 6 bags they have. Good for me, terrible for my customers. I wont share lmao.

Is there somewhere i can order tea lights n bulk? I go through 8 a day and i burn everyday! Id also like to supply them to those on island. Thanks! :yay:
