  1. You can get shea oil but does is more expensive that shea butter and does not have the same amount of stearic as the butter.
  2. Thanks for the link. That is a very nifty tool. I always end up with thick lotion so I tend to stick to creams.
  3. Lovely swirls. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the lather. I once made a 100% shea with ground loofa. The lather was very creamy.
  4. Are you going to use the infused oil in a body powder? It might be easier to add the powdered calendula to your other dry ingredients. Infusing the powdered botanical would be more difficult as it tends to sink to the bottom of the oil - unlike the dry herbs which tend to float in the oil.
  5. I quickly delete such e-mails as they sound scam to me.
  6. 100% cocoa butter would be very very hard. The make up of these butters are different. Cocoa butter has more stearic than shea.
  7. I made 100% shea soap some years ago and added ground loofa to help with the lather. I must admit that I loved the soap as it was very creamy, non stripping and highly moisturising. Very expensive to make though.
