Anyone have any information on this company, flickers and flowers, and their FOs??? I searched the post and found only one thread on them from over a year ago, so I thought I would ask. Thanks guys!

I am using 4630 in 4 in square jars. I tried 2 different fragrances, cs cranberry marmalade and cs spiced wassail. I double wicked with htp 83s and after the first hour I already had a full melt pool and it was at least 1/4 inch deep in both. My question is when I test again should I go down to htp 73 or 2 sizes down to 62. Any suggestions would be great. I just can't make my mind up where to start first and I figured someone with more experience than me could help. Thanks guys! Have a great day!

I buy from Flickers....haven't ordered those scents yet. Although everything that I have used from Rhonda has been excellent in Soy and Palm wax, and lotions and soaps.
I need to order some stuff from her. Trying to wait until Tuscan Lace is back in stock.
Go ahead and order...I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.
Thanks for the info. It makes me feel better about ordering from a new place.

I was wanting to place an order with flickers and I have some questions about scents. Has anyone tried Wildflower, Woodland Trail, Vanilla Woods, Neroli, Pomegranate, Pipe & Slippers, Hot apple pie, Autumn morning, or Baked apple cobbler. Flickers is much closer to me than other suppliers and I'm trying to save money. Any opinions are appreciated! Thanks in advance!
P.S. I use 4630

Thanks for your reply. I felt kind of silly asking that question, but I really had no clue!

Just wondering if there is a difference between the oils at a store and the ones you see on a bath and body supply website. Guys thanks in advance. I am a complete newbie.

Thanks guys! I appreciate all of your advice. I am feeling much more confident now.

I make candles right now. But, I have an itch to make up some lotion and M & P soap.. I have been thinking of purchasing the Goats milk and honey ready to use base from WSP. My question is, does ready to use base take FO well? Also, what is a good m & p? Just wondering, I don't want to waste my time or money. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I don't know if it is any good, but Bert's has a banana. Her prices are pretty cheap so it would not hurt to give it a shot. Sorry I could not be more of a help.

Does anyone know where I can get a Body Shop Satsuma dupe FO? Thanks!

I use 4630.

Forgive me for being clueless, but curiosity won over. After my candle cools off can I put the lid on or should I let it cure with the lid off. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I don't want to mess up the cure. Thanks for your patience, always appreciated!

I have used the 4630 in the past and it will perform well with most oils I tested. Nice thing about this wax is the 10% f/o load capacity and a smooth appearance.
If your looking for bakery types, Just Scent has some great strong throwers in this wax. Cinnamon Toast, Hot Fudge Brownie, Hot Cocoa, Ultimate Vanilla, Cranberry Orange Spice, Crisp Green Apple.
Candle Cocoon...Sultry Angel
BCN...(BNL) Olive Blossom, Persimmon Spice
Have no idea with Berts, but I'm sure others that have experience with their oils that can chime in and help you.
Peaks has some great oils also.
ICS has a great Cinnamon Bun
Hope I could help you with a few.
Thanks for all the advice. You're Awesome!

Thanks for the hawiian tropics tip. I actually had a person ask for hyacinth, so that might be something to try. Rosemary verbena is not a scent that I can imagine. Does is smell herbal or citrusy? Thanks guys!
P.S. I also noticed Bert's is testing a wild honeysuckle. I just love bath and body works wild honeysuckle and if it smells like that it will be great.

Hmmm. I don't want a fuel smell, so I might try wash day instead. Elegant Orchid sounds very interesting. So many FOs, so little money. Thank you guys for your suggestions.

You haven't really given us much information on the type of wax you're using whether it be paraffin, soy or palm. Are you using these oils for pillars or jars. Every oil works differently in every wax. Every member has their personal favs., for their particular application. The better way to post your question is to let us know what wax you're applying these oils to and what f/o's you have in mind to start out with.
I'm just starting out and I can't afford to buy from a lot of places yet. I was just wanting opinions on great places to buy FO. I use 4630 and I am interested in a wide variety of scents. I appreciate all help and advice. Thanks.

Going to try Bert's scents. Looking for a strong floral and I was also wondering about the hawiian tropics, pomegranate, and clean cotton. I open to other suggestions, if there is any Bert's scent that you love I would love to hear about it. I appreciate it. Thanks!
P.S. I use 4630

LX wicks and HTP wicks both work well in this wax.
I actually poured candles last night using the HTP wicks. I could not wait, so this morning I test burned and I think the hot throw was a lot better. I think I will give these wicks a go. We shall see.

Thanks Guys! I use 44 24 18Z in a 16 oz mason 3 in diameter. I have never seen FO on top of my candle, maybe I do have candle nose or maybe I'm too picky. For you guys that use 4630, what type of wick do you use?
-
What does FO bleeding mean and how do you know if this happens. I've had some pretty weak candles. I use 4630 at 9%. I've used CS FO oils which smell great and strong OOB. I know it is not the FO, it must be me. I melt wax to 180 and pour at 170. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I'm going to have to make my mind up now.

I'm wondering, too. They have a lot of FOs. I see that the Beer FO is a bestseller. I can't imagine that in a candle.

I am trying to find a good pine or cedar FO, any ideas?

Yes it is http://flickersflowers.com/home1.html These guys are a lot closer to me and I believe they have free shipping if you spend $100 or more, so that would be nice.
