  • About You
I've been making candles, soap and bath products for almost 10 years. I also make potpourri from my home grown roses and other flowers. If it's scented, I love to make it! I'm 55 and a retired travel agent.

  1. I think they look really, really nice! If it were me I'd probably look right past the blistering because even when I knew it was an unwanted feature, I was still impressed by your layering and colour choices
  2. I've used Brighter Scents/Gelluminations for years and I have a couple major faves. However, I haven't tried their Cinnamon Clove so can't help you on that one. I know that their Fresh Roses and Spiced Cranberry are fantastic scents. Great throw in paraffin wax. HTH, Di
  3. Hi everyone, I hope I'm not putting this question in the wrong forum category but I have a sort of unusual question. Though I have been making candles for several years, I've been making them out of the country where I could only get straight paraffin. I put in my additives according to what sort of candle I was making. Now that I am back home (in the US), I'm confused by the various waxes available. :embarasse I am wondering if I could get some suggestions from you all as to which would be the best wax(es) to use for a person who makes votives, tarts, grubby pillars and jar candles. I know that there are waxes best suited to each of those types, but being retired (and therefore rather poor) I am hoping that I can get suggestions for 1 or 2 good all-purpose waxes to use. Thank you, Di
