  1. Julie you are right, they were all being on their best behavior and you simply played the game correctly! LOL

I don't think the creator of the magic hat and Freebird fame will be joining us this year - she will be so missed. I really wanted to get in on the Freebird fun this year!

We still have seats in need of filling, so any of those on here that were thinking about joining us - register or let me know, the hotel block is almost full and the discount expires in a couple of weeks, they are expecting a full house that weekend.

  2. You sign up by leaving a comment in the blog under the category activities.

No fair Nancy...you can't plant that in here then Julie will be more determined to steal - really, everything offered was awesome...I would have been happy with anything that was offered out there -

Glad you found a room mate, I think we have one more person looking for a roomate. Sharon at the hotel said it would be a sold out night so should be hoppin, they are putting the tables in the casino at the beginning of the month...now I might be tempted to go over there and try black jack!

  3. I forgot to sign up for the Yankee swap...That was a blast last year, I got candles and soap and an awesome mitt for handling hot stuff - Loved it! That combined with the door prize, goodie bags, hands on demo (I got a sugar scrub cube and rolled beeswax candle) and gathering swap...was like Christmas! Plus I was gifted by my pals with supreme goodies, which was totally unexpected, Kimberly/, Nancy, Cheryl , Tabatha & Julie!

This year with extras planned for Friday night...can´t wait...SO FUN! Plus I need some networking - motivational ME time with my pals and fellow artisans...I always leave there psyched up and ready to ramp up my biz with new ideas and renewed commitment!

  4. Sure! That is what so many beginners don´t understand...the wax, wick. jar, fragrance, additives, anything that goes into a candle effects the way it ¨works¨ or burns, it´s the way the components work together that makes it a safe and great burning candle. And don´t forget burning conditions which can also effect the burn, like drafts, wick length, level of wax present in the jar, temperature, ect. Crazy huh?

  5. Pamperme...all the info. regarding the gathering, meeting, activities, demos, speakers, vendors and fun can be found on the website...http://www.lightsandlather.org along with a link for registration. LOL the singing and partying are optional.

Scented...I think there is info on OBN´s new product on their website, looks pretty cool, I might have to try it before the gathering!

TLC26...i sent you an email regarding the pre-buy stuff, sorry it took me so long.

  6. Yea... the ability to pick up supplies when you don't have them locally is worth the road trip for sure - especially for heavy stuff, that is why we love Tabatha so much for picking stuff up for us! ;)

I flew so much in my previous work life I figure if I don't HAVE to know - I won't. I prefer to drive even if I have to make frequent stops.

  7. **SPOILER**

Those ladies can literally sing so if you are thinking that you are going to listen to karoke and laugh - it's not happening! They are great and just for the record it was a let down that they were so good - but then there were some other peeps there that were pretty funny, tying to rap - I guess that made up for it. Oh and they don't do requests!

  8. Yeah, you might want to have a decoy if you draw Birdie's creations - or that is my plan!

We wrap between 4-5. We have had some leave early last year due to flights, or drives - understandable. If you left at 5 you would still be home before it's too too late.

Yeah...6 hours is not too long considering we have guests from as far away as the Virgin Islands! LOL But I know what you mean, that is a drive - it's the same distance for me to drive home, but like you said it's much more doable with two and goes by a lot quicker too.

Vacancy wise we are over 50% capacity...but saying that I have quite a few "I will be there" in my emails that have not registered and will most likely wait until the last minute...but I will let everyone know if it gets really close.

  9. :P I am planning to make this a go ;)

It would be nice to see you again, that meeting in MD seemed ages ago!

Lori´s right - everything is included and we feed you a nice lunch in the hotel on Saturday! There are lots of places around to eat - Friday night we are doing an informal/casual meet and great in the hotel with some fun/small demos, tips & tricks. We thought we´d all go in for ordering in pizza for those that wish to have it, bring you own soda/drink. That will be followed by our Yankee swap, if participating - which is voluntary.

The more the merrier, we´d love to have you!

  10. Try ancient incense from Moonworks Collection - it's a very old world but strong throwing FO made up with alot of EO's. I have a group of customers that are into Renaissance stuff and I use that for their fundraisers and it's that "kind" of scent. I use soy and it throws great, so I am sure it would be a strong thrower in your wax. I think it smells great.

  11. I posted on the FB page an RSVP - so we could an idea of numbers, we have a lot of stuff planned! I know many wait until closer to the event to register, but a better idea of numbers would sure make planning easier, we had a good amount of early registrations many returning, some new peeps - It´s gonna be GREAT FUN, especially with the new Friday night actvities - can´t wait! The site is being updated today with co-ops, pre-buys and new happenings.

  12. Would you sue someone for less than $100.00? (Keep in mind that they would have to pay all legal fees and punative damages for lost income for having to close the store while dealing with this)

Maybe I am missing something. You are going to hire a lawyer in the state this person lives in to file a claim in small claims court for $100 and fees in order to get a judgement. Do you know how much laywers in this country charge to prepare suits and appear in court for you? You can ask for fees and punative damages, but I believe (not a lawyer) a judge or jury only awards those, it's not a given - so you would invest all that time and money for a possible non-collectible $100 judgement? WOW that seems really extreme and beyond worth it even if in principal alone.

Like I said maybe I am missing something. Sorry you got ripped off.
