  1. That does seem cheap. Tried to find where she lived but couldn't. Maybe close to supplier? No shipping would greatly reduce the cost.

Labels are very nice also. Think that has a lot to do with making the jar look so terrific

Well if the whois information is correct the location is California

  2. I would have to say right now that our smaller items were the biggest sellers so far this year. We sold all but 6 packs of our clamshell tarts at our first show as well as almost all of our Aroma Beads. We have another show May 4th so it will be interesting to see what sells at this one.

  3. I am totally new to M&P soap so I thought I would ask you knowledgeable folks my burning question.

Can Jeffs molds be used with M&P soaps? I want to use SFIC bases like Shea and Goats Milk. Yes I did pm him and ask but since he has never used M&P before he wasn't sure and thought some one on here may know. Thank you for all your help.

  4. The jars are victorian jars that I get from Candle Science. Since they are only 30 min from my house I can go pick up stuff from them. However I think The Jar Store carries them too.

My reed diffusers are on the shelf above the clamshell melts. I pick up easter grass on clearance and use it as a filler to keep the bottles up right.

  5. An oxymoron (plural oxymorons or, more rarely, oxymora) is a figure of speech that combines two normally contradictory terms

She wasn't calling you a Moron. She was basically saying you were contradicting yourself since you state you just started making candles and are ready to sell them.

You are saying you are new to this. Have you done any testing? Have you gotten liability insurance in case something happens to some one or their home because of your candles? Have you gotten your business license and tax id#? There is a lot more to making a candle than pouring some scented wax into a container and sticking a wick in. I'm not trying to shoot you down but want to make sure you are really ready to sell.

  6. I really wish I could! I work every Saturday at the hospital! I have longed wish that I could get together with someone and "play"!! Anyway....sounds like a good time and I am surpised to see so many NC people!

Hey Jooniper where are you at in NC? The only jobs I have are candles and housework so if you aren't too far maybe we can get together and play since you wouldn't be able to get to the Saturday meet up.

  7. Hello All,

Well after several years of selling our candles at shows my sister and I have decided to open a website. It seemed like at all our shows we would always hear the question "Do you have a website?" so it's time to bite the bullet and get one started.

I've searched on the board and read everything I could. Also I've gone to several e-commerce sites that are geared towards wahm and/or hand crafted items to research what they each offer. The one I wanted to join is not taking new clients at this time. (Hope your treatments go well PA). This means I'm still flipping back and forth between all the other choices. Frankly it's given me a headache. :lipsrseal

So with that said what I would like to ask is what shopping cart/e-commerce site do you use/recommend?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions/comments/warnings.:D
