  1. It depends on the um or oxide. For example, I find that colors like um blue, green iron oxide & red iron oxide tend to go a lot farther than say um pink or um violet.
  2. You can also line it with a plastic bag if you want. It may be easier but the soap will have wrinkles from plastic.
  3. I used to use select shades and dragon lily essentials colorants. But now I use ultramarines, oxides, & clays.
  4. I dobn't think anyone really knows why DOS occurs. But it's a totall bummer that it does! There are lots of theorys out there, from type of oils, heat, humidity, fragrance oils, etc. If anyone ever difinitively figures it out, please do let me know.
  5. Try using colloidal oatmeal. Since you don't plan on using a bag it will be a better choice than ground oatmeal since it will disolve in the water better.
  6. Thanks for sharing your recipe. It looks great and I'm looking forward to trying it!
  7. Technically you could use the rebatched soap right away sicne it won't ber lye heavy anymore. But realistically you're gonna want to let it cure a little so that the water cures out and you have a longer lasting bar. 2 -4 weeks should be good, depending on how much water you add in the rebatch.
