  1. You were right, the sides caught up with each other. Do candles often do that? I must admit I never sat there and closely watched a candle burn before,so I never noticed. Thanks for putting up with my stupid questions!
  2. Thanks SD. I'm just gonna do that batch again. Practice makes perfect. Okay,I am burning one from my first batch from yesterday. It's burning lopsided. It's been burning for about an hour, the wick is completely in the center but one side of the candle is burning faster than the other. It smells good though. I don't know what I have done wrong. It looks almost perfect.:undecided
  3. I poured initially at 175 and then 190 for the repour. They did have high ridges. I think I am pouring too much the first time. Can a heat gun fix it or should I just melt them and start over again? That's a good idea Donita. Thank you!
  4. Re: Couple of questions on votives....I keep messing up on the second pour. I am using a 4lb pouring pot and it's just coming out too fast,no matter how careful I am. Do you all use something different to do the repour in? The wicks are all centered and they look good. But the edges don't look so perfect. I supposed I can take a heat gun to that, correct? I've decided I don't like votives very much anymore.
  5. This time I put them flat on top of wax paper on the counter. I poured perfectly too,now if I can just do the same with the second pour they will be beautiful.
  6. I like it! It would match my living room too.
  7. Doh! I already broke them up and remelted them, lol. Oh well, next time I'll know. Thank you.
  8. Okay I made a few votives and some of them came out good, but a couple of them are lopsided because the cookie sheet I had them on was lopsided.:/ I want to remelt them and pour them again. But what do I do about the wicks? Should I break them out or take them out of the wax as it melts?
  9. Thanks SD! I will sit on my hands and wait.:lipsrsealI don't want to have to do it a third time, lol.
  10. Okay, this is a stupid newbie question. I searched and couldn't find the answer. So please excuse me... Do you really have to wait about 3-4 hours before repouring ? I am impatient,if you can't tell.:rolleyes2
  11. I start craving sweets anytime I look at pictures of the soap in here, lol. Very nice!
  12. You mean this impulse spending doesn't stop even after you been into it for awhile? I am so headed for divorce court... :tiptoe:
  13. I was expecting real marbles too, lol. :laugh2:Wow,those are fantastic!!!
