I requested mine in october and still havent received it. requested sample 10-24 got email from connie on 11-7 saying its being sent out

I tried, I seriously tried. I told her I researched for a few months before deciding what type of wax to try first and then it was at least 6 months testing before i even felt comfortable enough to give one away. and then the insurance, she said she is friends with other chandlers who have told her my comment was way out there. Then i told her to join a candle forum thats what I did and it helped me a lot with research etc and she said I do not need to i have other chandlers who are giving me advice and helping me and numbers to call if i need help. lol yeah these are probably the same chandlers telling you to get your wicks and waxes from micheals and other craft stores lol yeah she ended up deleting me. but i'll be damned if i'm giving away my secrets and formulas to someone who cant do any research on their own let alone test.

Ugh, some people make me want to pull my hair out. she asked where to buy wicks, wax, scent, color etc on fb. i replied with research, research, research and test, test, test and to make sure before selling she gets at least one million in insurance but 2-3 million if she can. this was her reply lol

Wow, I wanna know where you work that affords you to make an FO haul like that! :highfive: I might have spent that much in 6 months, but I've never been able to spend that much at once. (I know you guys with businesses probably spend that much at once, but not a hobbyist like me.)

LOL I'm an independent distributor for a company. I joined them 2.5 years ago which is one of the reasons i stopped doing candles and bath n body for awhile. but got the itch back and decided to do it again. It's a great company, I make 5 figures a month (not including change) was able to retire my hubby in 6 months and moved from a 30k house to a 240k house. If you want more info feel free to pm me

So I have been making a list of FO from peaks, candlewic, RE/KY and millcreek based off what I used to use and what you all have recommended. I think I ended up ordering half of peaks oils lol. Ended up spending a grand total of $1400.00, thank goodness peaks have the 15% off FO. Only about $200 of that was for soaping oils/butters the rest is all FO. Thank goodness for this new job, I make enough money I can really pay for my addiction. 2 years ago I could only order the bare necessities. Lots more testing in my future!! Now I can officially be called a FO HO! haha

I will be ordering the cookies for santa tomorrow. Just seen it in an email last night.

thanks everyone. I think because the candle shop is in the basement its not as warm as the rest of the house. maybe like 60-70 so my jars arent really room temp, I will also try pouring hotter as well.

Not that I NEED to order from another supplier, but ya know how that goes. So what are some must haves from here??

So about a week ago I made some straight 6006 candles to test as well as 6006 and 415 mix. All the candles pulled away from the jar although the 415 mix isnt as bad but the straight 6006 pulled away so bad the wick is the only thing holding it in, you can hear it bumping off the side of the glass when you shake it. is this normal for 6006?

I only ever bought molds and jars from them. but was comparing wax prices with shipping to me and realized they have no candle supplies. When I left they still sold wax etc. interesting.

So when did they stop selling candle making supplies?? Apparently I've missed a lot in a couple years.

What FO do you love from peaks?

I pulled the htp out and put cds in and they have a throw now. but not a huge throw though. but i will keep testing them till they're gone. i did get the 6006 in today and made a few candles to test and i ordered my 415 today. i will be testing the 6006 and 415 together in the next few days.

Do you use just tins? Just jars? Both? Before I get into testing jars too much I am really considering the tins. But I think a lot of ppl still like the jars for the appearance while burning. So I am thinking maybe 6 oz tins and 8 or 10 oz jars. What size tins seem to sell best for those who sell more than one size? I really dont want 16 oz jars, last time I made candles those barely sold at all. but I am thinking 6 and 8 oz are just too similiar in sizes. I am 100% open to suggestions/advice. It's been over 2 years since I've made candles so I dont know what is more popular now and in what sizes.

I just use the fold up white tables you get at walmart for like $40 each. They're 8 ft. I obviously wont use them for anything else but if I move my room or move period I just fold them up and take them with me. Then I got those plastic 4 or 5 shelve units you get at walmart in the auto section for like garages etc. Cut cardboard to line the shelves. and with the peg board on the one wall i can hang my heat gun, spoons, thermometers, pour pots etc
