  1. Hello everyone.  Bought a case of the Anchor Hocking large clear pumpkin containers with lids.  At the widest point, they are about 6 3/4" across.  I use a  60/40 paraffin/soy blend (my own blend) and am using 8% fo--pumpkin pie from OT.  I've got zinc, cotton, CD, HTP, and Premier wicks.  I was thinking I should probably use 3 to 4 wicks for this width.  I will be coloing the wax.

Do any of you have any starting point recommendations for wicking on this huge container?  Thank you all!

  2. C&S has my favorite Bayberry Apple Spice. It has that warm bay leave scent mixed with cinnamon and apple notes. I just love it and get it every year. So far it has thrown well for me in soy, paraffin, and palm. BTW-- C&S also has a very nice Christmas Splendor that throws well. After the holidays I call it country store.

The cinnamon apple I mix myself. I use CS red hot cinnamon and cinnamon stick mixed 50/50 the add macintosh apple. Just enough for an apple note as Macintosh apple is strong and gets stronger as it cures. So use more if you want more apple and less for a hint of apple.

I use CS pumpkin pie and pumpkin souffle and just blend them 50/50. Although I must admit my alltime favorite pumpkin is pumpkin pie spice from NG... or is it JBN? Its been so long since I bought it I forgot who carries it but I know the word 'nature' is in the title.

Candybee, C&S is Candles and Supplies, right?  Didn't you also post previously they have a really nice candy corn?  I've only ordered from them once a long time ago, but thought about trying them again so wanted to get a list of good strong-throwers before ordering.  Thank you.

  3. Haven't been on here now for some time due to health issues, surgery, etc., so I wanted to ask if there's a place to go to find Tennessee Candle Supply's phone number.  Most of my other suppliers are still online. Tried a google search and came up empty-handed.  Any other sites you guys recommend to look up suppliers' phone numbers/websites?

Also saw posts regarding Scent Works no longer being in business--is there another supplier that will carry their fos?  Thank you everyone!

  4. Searched this but haven't ordered from them lately and was wondering what your favorites are from them. Since samples are <edited to say on sale to remove specifics>, want to load up and try some new ones. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  5. I just love the Yank** scent trick or treat (true candy corn smell, NO maple) and saw that NG and JS have it. Those of you who have tried it, which one is true to the Yank** scent? Thank you.

P.S. I have tried many candy corn, buttercream, caramel, honey, etc. scents and have blended them but still haven't found one that is true to this dupe. Any blend suggestions are greatly appreciated as well.

  6. I love coconut lime verbena so when I first saw this new one, I asked the clerk at B&BW how the 2 difffered. She said the CLV had been discontinued and the new CLB had more lime to it. I bought the shower gel and it does have more lime, specifically it smells like it has more fresh lime zest to it and I LOVE IT! Does anyone know of a great dupe of this new scent for candles and bath/body? Thanks!

  7. Thanks everyone for your advice. Fortunately, some of it leaked on paper towels and boxes, but there's a spot on the carpet about 6" across. I used carpet cleaner and then, as Beth suggested, I put baking soda on it to absorb it and hopefully, mask the smell. I may have to try the ZEP spray next. If the stain/smell is still there, I'll have to break down and go get the steam cleaner. I do know I don't want to eat or smell anything caramel for awhile.
