it is funny I hate floral scents so I am really not digging the Jasmine
figures the scents you don't like are the scents you always get big orders for
-
I posted this on the BC boards
but I love looking at everyone's soap on here so I thought I would share here too
this is 4 of 5 batches of BC Jasmine cp soap I am making for a baby shower in may

http://www.candlesupply.com//how2pumpkincp/how2basiccp.html
that worked really good for me
I need lots of pictures and step by step stuff
I printed it out and followed it as I went
BC even sells a basic CP soap kit now if you need supplies and stuff
and don't worry making it isn't as bad as you think it is going to be and when you are done you will be like that wasn't so bad
-
yep you just put it in the comments
I had to do that a few times when I ran out of something and needed just that item
and the USPS actually gets to me faster then the UPS ground due to how far BC is from me so it can be handy for that as well

what are these POP colors? where do you get them? I am a sucker for great color

congratz on a good show!

I have a separate policy for my candles and soap
I probably didn't explain myself too good before
that is what I get for trying to reply really fast while at work
-
I had been thinking about trying the peaks one
I will check out the scent works
thanks for the tip

I have used Pear Glaze from Bittercreek in CP soap and it did just fine
also made some pillar candles with it as well
-
so I have used Soap Silly and it was pretty good
also have some of Berts(haven't used it yet)
but I am running out and it is time to reorder so I thought I would see about trying out another supplier
who has the best one?
thanks

I have a business license and I pour candles in my 1 bedroom apartment.
there is a part in my lease I think(been 5-6 years since I signed it) about not running a business in your apartment but I always figured it was more towards bring people in for business purposes. I never have people come over. But I know that insurance companies would freak over the fire hazard part I just don't tell them I do it.
I am very good and hiding all my candle making stuff when they are going to be coming into the apartment to fix things and such. I figured it was easier to do that then risk them telling me to move out.
they do know that I run a internet snake breeding business(they saw it on a yellow pages type site when they were searching for something in our area). Some how they didn't come across my candle site. The landlord has seen my soaps(can't miss the huge curring rack) and I even gave her one to try(no lable on it so she couldn't see my site)and she didn't say anything about not doing it. She also thinks the soaps are why my place always smells so good.
I guess proceed with caution and maybe have a backup plan in case they aren't friendly towards candles.

I got my silk from BC, I ordered the smallest bag and I can honestly say that will last a long long time. A little does go a long way with that stuff.
I love any extra thing that adds to the quality of the cp soap
-
thanks everyone!
I like to post pictures on the forums cause that is how I learned a few methods for making different pillars.
you just have to keep experimenting if it doesn't look right you melt it down or chunk it up and make another candle with it.
It is funny almost every candle I make ends up with a tilt

finished another valentines days order
the middle row is love spell all the others are BC Pink Sugar

I am signed up
my first year going
last year I was soooo busy at my job I didn't notice the registration had started until it was already full.
-
way cooler looking then my first batch of cp soap.
welcome to the cp soap club!
-
love the top and colors on that one
-
this is my 3rd batch trying it out
the first was Wildberry Zinger tea but I ended up coloring the whole batch so I couldn't tell if it really worked or not
the second was the pink sugar and I like it better then the brown bars, but after time went on a few small brown spots showed up. Would use it again for sure!
and since I still have some left I tossed it in with the Island Kola Nut. It is actually one of the scents they have as a sample in the shopping cart with a before and after the stabilizer. I only use it on scents that are known to cause discoloration.
I was tired of sooo many brown or odd tan bars of soap so I am loving the stabilizer helps me match my color style for products better.
-
Island Kola Nut from BCN with the vanilla Stabilizer
Sex in the Shower(renamed to Forbidden Fruit) from WSP
and Beneath the Stars from WSP. wasn't 100% thrilled with this one it set up really fast!
-
those are some great colors
the green is out of this world
-
Jelly beans! chocolate, and marshmellow would be my top scents for easter
-
I love pink sugar in fact I am wearing a body spray I made with it too, lol
It is a popular one with my clients so far so I plan to keep using it. I use BCN pink sugar by the way.
I have used the pink sugar with the stabilizer and I liked what it looked like, the only problem is that after time has went by there are a few random brown spots on the top now. I still find it better then the brown pink sugar(mine never went dark brown/black).
here is a picture I took last week
-
very soft pretty color on that one
thanks for sharing

I was thinking 100+ people getting my soap can't be bad for business either
just wish they were Baby Powder scent, but the client didn't like that one cause she had the Jasmine in her head I think.
Going to probably put the ulta sound picture on there or something, still working out the details for the labels
