  1. I think I posted this question on the wrong site. Here goes. I would like to know where to get wooden roses. I noticed that there was a co-op on them but that it is over. I would appreciate it if anyone could direct me to the site that I could purchase them. Thanks

  2. I have used the fragrance oil enhancer from C&S . The formula is 50/50. It has been very successful for us. I have been testing these since the summer and have had great success.

  3. I see becky has a great sale going on - I use J50 wax and have not had the greatest success with scent throw with a few of her scents. Does anybody have favorite scents that they have used successfully with J50 wax. Thanks

  4. Its too bad when a soy candlemaker has to bash a parrafin candlemaker.

by saying" regular candles are petroleum-based, therefore giving off the harmful black soot that contaminates the air we breathe as well as staining our walls and windows." This quote was in our local paper yesterday under new business in our area. I would think that someone who has faith in their product would be speaking about the positive side of their product and not knocking someonelses. Takes all kinds to make a world

  5. Has anybody used this wax for their electric candles or votives? I just tried this because it is supposed to me translucent and I thought it would be nice in the electric candles. I made my first one last night and am having difficulty with white spots and an oily feel to the candle. I guess I used too much fo and that I can take care of. the white spots have me confused becaused I heated the wax to 200degrees, used christmas splendor fo, poured at 185 into my grubby mold. did all the same things as when I use 4794 -- HELP, I hate to waste this wax.

  6. I opened a case of J50 wax and it was cream colored rather than the normal white. I made candles anyway and now testing the batch find out that there is very little scent throw. Has anyone had a problem with the J50 wax. I am going to try and return it to candles & supplies as it is only 2 cases out of 10 that I purchaed. Too bad because the 2 cases that are cream colored were the only different batch #'s Oh well, live and learn

  7. I tried using christmas wreath in J50 wax and was not successful in getting a hot or cold scent throw., It was also a very difficult scent to wick. The smell ob is very nice but I can't get a scent throw. I understand that a lot of her oils do very well in soy. Maybe that is the secret to this scent. Good luck

  8. When I took the candle out of the mold I remelted it and stirred and stirred and still the second time the oil did not mix completely. I will have to get in touch with Becky I guess. I just seem to be having trouble with

Becky's scents.. The other scent, christmas wreath I can't get a good melt pool or a good scent throw. Oh well, not everything goes well all of the time.

  9. I am using 4794 wax and JS OXYGEN to make an electric candle. For the life of me I cannot get this oil to blend. I brought the temp up to 200 degrees, added 2 drops of liquid dye and stirred and stirred. When I undid the mold there was some oil on the bottom of the candle. Is there a trick to this fragrance oil. Help.

  10. my experience with JS fo's is that the scent description seems to refer to scent throw in soy and B&B. I have purchased js fo's and tried them in parrafin. I use j50 for my containers and 4794 for my votives and tarts. I find that the scent throw from js fo's aren't as good as other suppliers. Could be that they throw better in soy or it is just me.
