Last month when I talked to one of the store manager he told me to leave everything right there for the time beening.left 3 voice mails and numerous calls and no feed back in what they were going to do. So I go there today to just get my stuff and its all gone.!!!

  2. ooops.... didnt read your heading. How soon to do repours? I usually wait till at least 2hours on votives and repour my containers the next day.but if you dont have enought wax to do a repour then use a hot gun to melt the wax after it has had time to set up.Firm. Maybe someone with more experiece can help.Im not good at explaining things.:D

  3. Do you mean to top it off? If so...

Go to the first page of this forum( candletech) and click on Tips and Database, click on Candlemaking. Then go to the 10th list down till you get to heat guns. That is what I use if you have a flaw or just need to remelt the top .HTH Janice

  4. A few years ago when I made CP I had just mixed lye and water when something ,can`t remember now what happenened, but I had to leave the house and decided to leave the mixture outside on a table. Came in later after about 2 or 3 hours and found my dog forming at the mouth and in alot of pain.He had climb up on the table and drank the lye and water:cry2: . I called the vet and he said to put a water hose into his mouth and turn it on slowly. The insides of his mouth ( the skin) came out.I cried every time I saw him.He lived thur it though.I hand fed him for a month. He was 14 years old.He died when he was 16.I haven`t been able to make cp since the day that happen.

Please, please keep this stuff out of reach of pets and children!!!

  5. OK,hope I can explain this correctly. After the candle has set up, after the first pour with the wick pin in it,I pull out the pin, insert a wick, put it back in the votive cup .Go to pour second pour and about half of the candles will have air bubbles raising up the sides of the wick:mad: ! Is there another way to eliminate the bubbles other than standing there with a heat gun and zapping :cry2: ? Maybe heat the top of the first pour before I pour the second?I `ve done a search on this and nothing. So if anyone has any suggestions on how they got rid of bubbles please help! I`ll go and see if I can zap it first before I pour the second pour. Sorry to be so confusing :rolleyes2. I`ve tried pouring at different temps and don`t think this is the problem. Jan

  8. "Do you have any idea how many products a writer receives on a daily basis sent to them by companies that pay for the product and the shipping? Come to my house and see.

How do I alienate sponsors and vendors? I don't"

What kind of magazine writer have "products" mailed to their house?:rolleyes2 I would think that all products would be tested at the home office of the magazine or "testing kitchen"??
