  1. I am by no means an expert, but I have been testing CBA in 16oz apoth with 2 x HTP93 and it's going well thus far. I had tested with 2 x HTP73 and was barely enough to get through the bottom 1/2. Maybe the dye/FO combo....or too much FO?? I am sure someone with more knowledge will weigh in here soon. Goodluck! Kim
  2. Good point....since I only use Ecosoya CBA for my containers, layering probably isn't the best idea!?
  3. I guess if I could find ones I liked that fit properly (2.75" diameter) I would be interested in probably 100. I have 6oz travel tins with the clear lid and they fit my tumblers perfect and look fabulous! Do you know of a supplier?? Kim
  4. Judy, I have been wanting to layer jars for quite a while now, but was concerned that the colours would just run all together as it liquified? Do you find that problem? Kim
  5. Has anyone ever come across a place where you can buy just the lids (clear preferred) for a 6oz travel tin? I have found that suppliers only seem to offer both the tin and lid. Kim
  6. Yes, I had discovered that in my searches of this board....that's why I was wondering how many different carrier oils would be suitable and had hoped to use soy oil. But I think I will stick with the cyclo/fco/fo to begin with. Thanks! Kim
  7. Mystical...thanks so much for the info. Kim
  8. Just trying my hand at roll on perfumes for the first time and wondered if you could use Soy Oil, Cyclo & FO as a combination? I was thinking of switching the FCO for Soy Oil..... Any input will be greatly appreciated. Kim
  9. My supplier here in Canada has already informed us that the prices of our soy waxes will incease....but....due to the strong CDN dollar, she was able to keep them the same (for now). Phew! Kim
  10. Stella, Thanks for the info. I wasn't certain if it would be a two pour deal. I can't wait to try another one. I think they are gorgeous! Kim
  11. I just poured my first batch of palm/soy pillars this morning! I am pretty amped with the results....except for air pocket holes on top of both the votive and the pillar. I poured at 190 (as per directions). What causes the holes (they are only about 1/4" deep) I have never come across this with just PB. Should I do a 2nd pour? Should I have been poking relief holes as it cooled? Can you use a heat gun, or will that ruin the feathering (it will actually be the bottom of the candle anyhow). I can't figure out the pic thing or I'd attach one to see. Aside from that I got great feathering and they slid right out of the molds!
  12. I have been using Ecosoya PB exclusively for 2 years. Love it...wouldn't change.
  13. I use Ecosoya PB exclusively with a touch of BW for added hardness. Never (knock on wood) had a problem with release in molds or clamshells.
  14. I LOVE your labels....very nice!! I was curious what kind of printer you use at home?? Mine is pretty crumby and have been looking for a better replacement. Thanks!
  15. I too had the frosting problem with EcoSoya CB 135. It was ugly and had to remove some from a wholesalers store. I am currently testing a mix of 1/2 CB 135 & 1/2 CB Adv to see if that improves it. I also use 1 tsp of BW per lb. Kim www.Kimdles.com Homemade Soy Candles
