Tried it again today using 1/2 Tablespoon per 1 # C-3 wax. It's better, but still slightly cauliflower tops...I'm afraid to add too much as it really makes the wax on the oily side...but I'm going to try just a bit more later. Much less humidity today so that could factor in also.
Note to self: Do not leave Black Cherry fo in a plastic cup for more than 30 seconds...melts through the cup:o
lol!!! had this happen last night with autumn lodge, what the??!!

is this from cajun? if it is, my customers LOVE it. i can't keep it on the shelves. lots of chocolate lovers comment on how they hate the way most choco candles smell accept the one from cajun. it is very strong yes, but them choco lovers love it:drool:

i know this is an old thread but i wanted to throw my into this wellington question that i have been reading all the posts on. i use wellington and mine turn out just fine. i use c3 add fo at 150 and my customers like the scents. i do purchase a few that i won't change like brownie and buttercrumb from cajun. but wellington hasn't let me down yet. i ask all the time and find my customers have no problems either. i am like a kid in a candy store when i order fo so $100 is nothing cause i have NO control but after 100$ you pick out free samples and that is a nice bonus.

i use c-3 and have issues with coloring as well, and not every color?! anyhow i called early american candle near pittsburgh and they are very friendly and helpful. the owner told me there is nothing you can do, it is a natural occurance due to the soy. so he blends his candles to avoid this white stuff (frosting right?). so i call in again and talk to one of the employees there who also makes candles and i was thinking of blending mine so they "look" better since that is what alot of customers want. he talks me out of blending wax, he tells me to add fo first then the color. i thought it was the other way around. does anyone have any comments on that. do you add color first or fo. just curious. i am going to try the way he said tomorrow to see if it is any better.

hi, i am new here and wow is my head spining! as far as the candle goes, my browns always do that, the brownie batter looks just like batter and my tea did the exact same as yours, i have one brown that is perfect and the rest are frosted or not smooth on top. i am trying the colorless candle and at my shop i do a little survey when people are at the candle hutch, it is a 50/50 some shop by color some don't care. what to do what to do (i haven't figured that out yet!)
