  1. Well I'm hung up on which foundation! Though there's nothing dark in my complexion except my eyebrows lol. But I'm worried about going with something that would be too light or too dark. But a mineral make up would just even out the look right?

Yes it should. I used to wear a light beige in regular make up. I've tried all three of these and with all of them I couldn't tell I had them on at all, except for the Dark Beige, it gave me a sort of sun-kissed glow. It really didn't look like I had makeup on at all except that my face just looked so even and natural. The Cream is pretty light, so I'd try the beige and/or Dark Beige. But if those were too dark, you'd have the light Beige to mix with.

  2. You forgot to label the blue colors section. They're grouped, but no label that they are blues. And the last gallery as well, with the cool red family colors, no label.

I love the way you've organized it! Makes it much easier for me to see the things that are similar in color, where I'd want two colors in the same family. I'm checking your eye shadows out very closely and ready to order something soon. Beginning of the month after bills, and I'm going to try some of your brown eye shadows. I have very dark brown eyes, but lighter skin, and tend to stay near browns where I just look natural, and your colors are really nice browns. I find it very hard to find just the right smokey brown. Very hard. Most places go into more red and less black in their mix, and you get a chocolate instead of a brown smoke. Your colors appear perfect to me, in the brown family. Gold too, just a little to bring out brown eyes a bit and accent.

Thank you Vio for your input and my overlooking stuff, I really appreciate it very much!

I just added some brushes this evening too, they finally got here!

  3. I was tossing around a kit, but I don't think all the foundations would be used, not even by my Boy King (kidding), but I'm still tossing around. Glad this was brought up, because it's like eye and wallet candy.

LOL Scented. I could probably work something out with you if you only wanted one or two foundations. I put all three in the kit because if none of the shades matches your skin, you can mix them to get a color that would match closer.

  4. Quite the collection there! What's coming soon in collection 3 besides a purple? I just may have to check some of these out.

LOL, well I'm a hoping that ya'll are going to give me some ideas of colors...

I think I'll be adding some more pinks, maybe some burgundy I'm running out of ideas lol.

My Eye Shadows are growing and now I'm thinking I need to put the colors in categories.

Are you looking for certain colors?

  5. Hi Scented, did you mean my Collection of Eye Shadows?

I have three Eye Shadow Galleries, the first is here

    http://www.heavenlyscentsonline.com/Minerals/index_files/Page1182.htm

The links to the other two are on the right hand side or the link under the gallery pictures.

On the Foiling.... (applying wet) all of these Colors are beautiful, but when they are foiled, they really come alive if you want a different look for evening etc. The Eye Shadows can double as Eyeliners also by drawing your line with a damp brush and applying as liner. I usually use my crease color dry and then wet it for my eye liner.

Blushes can be used on the lips with your lip gloss.

I just love that Minerals are so interchangeable with one another.

  6. I've not tried making my own but I just received my order of samples from our very own Chickie1st from the forums and I am EXTREMELY impressed and will be switching over to her for my make up. I've been a devout user of Bare Escentuals for the past 3 years if that tells you anything.

I think you can order from her website now ... http://www.heavenlyscentsonline.com/Minerals/index.htm . If your DIL decides to just keep buying the ready made products I definitely recommend her buying some samples to try.

Thank you for the kind words, flightoffancy. I am so happy that you like my products.

If you have any suggestions for more colors, please let me know.

  7. Does anyone know of this website or purchased any of their makeup. My DIL loves mineral makeup and spends hundreds of $$$ buying this stuff and I suggested to her since she loves this stuff why not try making it for herself and see if this is something she might want to sell in the future. She is so excited about finding this website but I thought I would ask and see if anyone else is using this companies products. TIA

I had read on some forums that people were not too happy with them.

And Vio is correct, make sure to check the ingredients, you do not want Bismuth in your Mineral Makeup.

  8. Mary,

It seems like your FO isn't incorporated well enough. How much FO did you use per lb? If too much FO is added, sweating can happen. Also, weather can add to it- if there is too much moisture or humidity, this can happen. Heat, too, can cause candles to sweat.

Not sure why one candle would do it but the other didn't. Weird. Maybe someone else knows... Did you cool them in the same area?

    Violet

I agree, and am wondering too if your using a heavy scented oil? Sometimes it takes forever to get it to incorporate into the wax.

  9. Your right, mystical :D I myself love the foiled look, I like bold color lol.

Thank you all for the kind words!

I'm still trying to come up with more colors.

I just finished one that I made especially for moonrose here, and named it after her. She loves camo colors, so I hope I've come up with one for her. Although in a picture it looks bright green and it's not in reality. I'm going to have to work on the lighting I guess.

  10. After looking at your site- well, WOW! I have a request though, do you think that you can find several different eye colored models? I LOVE the way they look, but have no clue what would look good with blue eyes... I usually get the earth tones to set them off, but they just didn't wow me in the model pics on the site...

(and if you need another tester, look no further lolol)

    -Kristi

Do you only wear the earthy tones? Pm'ing you

  11. Tall Blonde, Chickie sells small sizes that are perfect for someone new to minerals. http://www.heavenlyscentsonline.com/Minerals/index.htm I believe she also has a sample set that will last quite a while and get you completely hooked. You'll never go back to liquid.

One thing that is key to using minerals is very good quality brushes. I can't emphasize that enough. I don't know if Chickie sells brushes cause I already had good ones and didn't look.

Hi Luci, I've just added a little brush set to my site. They are a very good quality and is a set of 5. I have another set coming in to test with so I'll probably have two sets to choose from right now. I'm still on the look out for more brushes. I may do some singles if I can find a good deal on them.

Guess I better get busy and get a picture of them up on the site :D

  12. Your exactly right blazerina, Great explanation!! Thank you!

I do each side of my forehead, my cheeks, and chin with a light dusting, to get a sun-kissed look.

I was talking about not seeing a difference in the matte bronzer compared to say a darker foundation or a matte blush that was a color you liked to do the same effect with.

I don't think that you would have to purchase a bronzer to do the effect of the sun-kissed look, if you had a blush in the color you liked. You could do the same "effect" with a blush, if you didn't have a bronzer.

I think that most Bronzer's have some sparkle to them.

I guess I was thinking of the ingredients in them.

  13. ok, so now I have what is probably a dumb question for make-up experts, but being that I don't wear much, I don't know :o

What would be the difference between using a darker mineral foundation and using a bronzer?

I used to "tan" alot, and I'm trying to break myself of the habit, but I like having some color, so I need an alternative!

Personally I don't see a whole lot of difference in this matte bronzer and a darker foundation or blush. Especially if you want no sparkles. I think if you just want some highlights of color, I'd go with a foundation or blush that you like the color of and highlight with that.

Mineral powder bases have nearly the same ingredients for Eye Shadows, Blush and Foundations. There are changes in the amounts of which ingredient you use for which product your making, so they are are very interchangeable with one another.

You can use Blush as Eye Shadow and visa versa. You can also use them as lip color as long as they are made with lip safe pigment/oxides. You can wet your Eye Shadow and use it as an Eye Liner. That's just another reason I love the Minerals so much because they are so interchangeable.
