The one on the left is the oatmeal/honey and the one on the right is a cinnamon swirl that I made last week.

I poured at a medium trace and used a chopstick, worked like a charm!

I vote for letting go of it (I know, I know!) and making a sign to set on top of the stove when you have soap on it. Honestly that would be the easy answer here because mine (no matter how many time I explained the need to check something first) would never remember. Look on the bright side.....this would never happen at my house because my husband doesn't know how to turn on the oven!:rolleyes2

Oh my...............what a heartbreaking story and such a good reminder of the dangers of lye. Lye is dangerous but there are so many other dangers around the house for all of us but little ones in particular.

I saw a picture of some soap that had a very bumpy, rough top edge to it and was wondering what you did to achieve that sort of a look.
