It really looks nice! I bet it smells just awesome. When I saw the first picture that reminded of custard pie. Gee that sounds good, I haven't made one for a long time.

I'm using Astolite PQ right now for my pillars. I would like to switch to a wax
that I can get rustic with. Do you mind me asking what what you used to
get those great looking candles?!
IGI 1343 with stearic. It's a great wax. It mottles very well too! It's pretty versatile. Thanks all for the nice comments. We all need to treat ourselves once in awhile!

Yep those colors really work! Nice labels too.

That is cool! I've been thinking about having hubby make me something like that. This is kind of like what I was envisioning. Thanks for posting.

Woman they match that pumpkin on that plate so I don't think they're too bright Nice, vivid orange!
Ah Julie, but the picture lies. It's close but not a match, but it's close enough it works.
Thanks for all the nice comments.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I just wish I had more time to play.

Very nice. You are all such an inspiration to me. I am new to the board and I think it will be years before I will ever have a candle that I can post a pic of.:highfive:
Nah Judette. Just jump in. You'll pick it up soon!

These are just beautiful, i just love your colors. How in the world do you get those swirled lines in there? Things usually come easy for me but im having a heck of a time getting good rusyics down. Lin
I really don't know. That's just the way they turned out. I use 1343 with 3 good tablespoons of stearic and pour in room temperature molds at about 150-155 degrees. That's all I do. Nothing special.

Congrats!!! It's a wonderful experience to make your first soap. Especially when you're really scared of the lye.

That is just so cool!! The candle is awesome and it's great that you have little jobs for him to do. He'll remember these times when he gets older.
