I'm using Astolite PQ right now for my pillars. I would like to switch to a wax

that I can get rustic with. Do you mind me asking what what you used to

get those great looking candles?!

IGI 1343 with stearic. It's a great wax. It mottles very well too! It's pretty versatile. Thanks all for the nice comments. We all need to treat ourselves once in awhile!

These are just beautiful, i just love your colors. How in the world do you get those swirled lines in there? Things usually come easy for me but im having a heck of a time getting good rusyics down. Lin

I really don't know. That's just the way they turned out. I use 1343 with 3 good tablespoons of stearic and pour in room temperature molds at about 150-155 degrees. That's all I do. Nothing special.

Congrats!!! It's a wonderful experience to make your first soap. Especially when you're really scared of the lye.

Those are very pretty. They would be great for Easter too!

These turned out pretty good. I found some old cinnamon from Early American shoved to the back of a cabinet and mixed it with KY's Southern Vanilla and it turned out pretty good. It looks even better in person. I did them half and half and you smell more cinnamon than the vanilla.

I really like that pillar. It's not a fugly at all.

They all look really great. Nice layering on the black and white. They're not easy sometimes.
