What size is it? I'm thinking some kind of pastry thing myself.

The size is fine. The only time big pix bug me is when I have to scroll to see the whole image. My "old eyes" like big, & they're better for showing detail - assuming your pix is mostly candle rather than background.

If you don't mind, please explain to me why you would do this. It's not like you can remove the sticks & then insert a wick into the metal piece since it's already been crimped; so it's not like a wick pin for a container. Or is it?

Too bad the candle got that weird "dent" 'cuz it looked very cool ... kinda like the galaxy or something. The redo turned out interesting, too, but I have to say I like the results of the 1st one better (minus the huge ding, of course).

That's so & at the same time. I would be crushed if anything happened to either of my girls, particularly the youngest one ... maybe 'cuz she still lives at home. Anyway .... lovely 'cane, Donita. I like how the "Y" is at a different angle ... loose, just like a kid would be.

Where did you get your candle ... I think they're called "snuffers" .... used to trim the wick? I wish "they" would make 'em so the trimming part was at a 90* angle to stem/handle (think L-shaped) for those deeper containers, such as you have.

Just a thought, an opinion really .... I've come to deeply appreciate containers that have lids. Nothing more unappealing than a candle w/ a top coat of dust (for those of us who burn less often than others), especially for stickier/softer type waxes (i.e. IGI 6006).

Got the moulds on ebay. Item number 8272481483 for the smaller one. The seller isn't advertising the larger one at the moment...but that's where I got them!

Kinda of a cool looking wick. I too was thinking that would be great w/ citronella candles.

Nice close-up of the wick in the flame ... totally diggin' it, in fact. I recently have gotten into buying/using photo equip for macro. Now to resize my pix to share ....
