also need uk supplier as dont know why we seem to occasionally get stung for import duty:mad:

the problem I have' date=' is I don't have digital scales and FO seems to be measured by weight.
I've got pipettes that measure it in ml, although I did see somewhere last night that said for soy (just got my first lot but haven't used it yet, so reading up), it said to use 25ml to 500g and I think (not certain) that 1oz (weight) = 25ml so would be 1oz to 500g.
Don't quote me on this lol but thats what I'm working too[/quote']
just had few emails back from some kindly candle making friends or as i call them the ones whos brains i pick if you email me i can send them on to you:)
what i have been measuring the FO in is the old type medicine plastic pots with the ml's up the side
-
do you mean the clamshells with 6 squares in?
I've been after some in the UK too' date=' none on ebay for last few weeks I've been checking [/quote']
well if you find some before me let me know where and vice versa
-
do any one here know of a supplier of empty snap packs for melts have searched ebay nothing, preferably a supplier in the uk as shipping not so expensive
thanks again:)
-
i personally only use tealights under my soy melts but thats because i dont have electric one as long as the bowl part is large enough to hold the melted wax whats the difference??
-
here i go again
does any one have a oil to wax guide?? my maths is rubbish i admit and unless i have full set of dummy instructions written down infront of me of how much then do etc then im at a loss
i make tealights, votives 4 oz jars and tin candles plus melts and i just cant seem to get the oil measurement right, maybe as i get more experienced it will come naturally but at the minute dumbo is the name
-
i dont know if im experienced enough to say this but i use the redi glow dye chips they seem to work well with soy wax

Hi
I buy soy wax by the ton in the UK. Email me (because you can't recieve private messages on here yet) and I should be able to sell you some cheaper than you can get on ebay. I sell to a few others on here also as not only is the soy cheaper, but postage is never more than £6 through my courier company.
natasha
email on the way:Dalso just noticed you are only just up the road from me:)

Hi Andrea. It's always good to see another Brit on the forum. There are quite a few of us now. You'll love it here. Everyone is very helpful. There's lots of good advice and some constructive criticism too .
Welcome on board.
