  2. What I have been encouraging customers to do is order and pay for a minimal # of candles, then when I deliver to them the candles are theirs. Much simpler for me.I just hope it works!!! LInda;)

  4. I tried at a floral shop 2 beauty shops 1 gift shop 1 massage therapy. Got a new hairdresser and a new avon lady plus sold 1 candle. A bang up DAY!!LOL I am setting up a a local Hometown Market it is an open air market So all the Post are kickn my little brain in high gear. Thank for the support Linda:drool:
  5. I finally broke the ice and made my first outside sales calls, I was scared poopless. I had so much fun, I made three more, Sold 1 candle, got my feet wet, and have no idea what the HECK I am doing. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single Step. I am aSTepping Out Linda:o
  6. Today, I called my local Cargill plant, since we process the soybeans here I thought maybe wax was made here too. LOL The real person I spoke with was so very helpful and nice, explained their distribution system to me, we decided that maybe a whole pallet was a little too much wax for this newbie:shocked2: right now anyway. He even took time to help me find a decent price on shipping, told me to call him back and he would arrange for me to see the lab, tour the facility. WAY COOL!! Long story sorry. Cargill is truly aware that the you and me's are a valuable market. I will stick with naturewax even though it maybe a little more expensive Linda

  10. Thanks, it seems that my cure time was the big problem. Checked my candles poured last week and they smell yummy!!! Here I go with that patience thing lol I am in Wichita Linda
  11. I only micro to melt the wax, I watch and test temps the whole time, I add my dye and fo's after melt is complete. When I got my candle kit it had instructions to melt in micro or double boiler. My candle time is limited due to being caregiver for my Mom with dementia, and my 2 granddaughters, and working parttime. Impatient maybe was not the best word, time constrained is more like it.   12. Will a Parafin wax melter the knid used in salons work to melt Soy, my thought is melt only in one container, dye and fo in smaller like measuring cup. I currently use microwave melt, dye and fo all in same cup. I am an impatient kind of person Linda

  15. Am buying on Ebay. I found same @ LONESTAR (Can I use their Name) I melt to 185 cool to 130-140 add fragrance and pour. Am I adding at too cool a temp? This candle thing, this has become an addiction. linda
  16. I am a total newbie to soy candles. I love it. But am not getting good results with scent thow am using nature wax c3, rediglo chips Fragrance are wonderful in the bottle. I am using a 1 to 1 ratio. Suggestions:o Thanks Linda
