  1. Awesome looking candle. Great job!
  2. They are made of 4786 para and topped with a small layer of ecosoya. So they would need to be burned in a container of some sort :-) @ scented. I agree. They turned out really light. I added 2 brown dye chips to 2 LBS para wax and figured it would be darker. Next time I will use black chips.
  3. I made these with silicone cupcake molds from Michaels. Scented Fudge Brownie from Peak.
  4. Thanks. I will try the 70/30. I just liked the soy because it was in flakes and easier to measure and store. I love the 4786 though. I think I may just keep the soy for special orders and try to market more par 4786 for the time being :-)
  5. Interesting. My luck I would reach for the wrong roll and have a butt smelling like baby powder for days....
  6. I am using EcoSoya Container Blend Advanced Soy Wax from Peak and the scent throw is great for cold, but as soon as I light the containers, the throw is almost non-existent. Is this how this is supposed to be? I want a great hot throw. How would I acheive this? Any help is appreciated :-) BTW, when I use IGI 4786 the hot throw is great.
  7. It was burning for about an hour. The side that was on the bottom of the mold was very smooth. I'll make another tonight :-)
  8. Yea, I was testing to see what the different sizes of the chips would look like and at first it looked like a big mess, but it's not too bad. I smashed and broke the chips by hand. I will try a bigger wick on next burn. That is a C-85. I'll try 24 Flat Braid.
  9. It's hugged. I didn't have my cam to take pics before the burn :-)
  10. I broke up dye chips and rolled the pillar in them. Afterwards, I used my heat gun to melt the chips.
  11. Yes, you are right. I thought about that before, but was unsure. Thanks :-)
  12. I made this with Strawberries & Cream from Peak. I made the base with a silicone candle/craft mold from Michaels. I used a heat gun to bond the base to the candle. Burn pics coming in an hour or so :-) btw, sorry for the large pics. No time to crop. Base: Front: Side:
  13. 24 Ply Flat Braid or #1/0 Square Braid should work
  14. Thanks for all the nice links. I'll order a few for sure :-)
  15. I bought the Rubbermaid 3 way pitcher and some Dixie cups :-) Thanks for the tips!
  16. Thanks for that! I will definately have to get one. A spout would be best for tarts IMO. Thanks for all the other useful info too :-)
  17. I was looking online for really cool silicon molds. Not the average shapes. I was looking for some places that may have a nice selection, so I do not have to place an order with 3-4 different companies. Any ideas where to get good silicon molds?
  18. I am using the small metal tart molds from Peak and was wondering how everyone else is pouring their wax into the molds. I tried pouring straight from the pouring pot into the molds, but the wax seems to like to run down the sides of the pot and make a nice little mess. I also tried a turkey baster, but that is also a bit messy. Any ideas? Thanks :-)
  19. These are scented Cucumber Melon from PCS. I used IGI 1343 for the chunks and IGI 4630 for the overpour. Colored the chunks Light green and the overpour aqua-marine. The hot and cold throws are amazing.
  20. Here are some more pics of the guitars and my amps for anyone who was curious lol. The pink Daisy Rock belongs to my fiance. And some close up on the candles I made a few days ago. The blue and tan are Ocean. I have a small layer of river rock in between and called them Water n' Earth. The lavender are Lilac.
  21. I'm bored and it's late at night, so I decided to break out the camera lol. I think I am all set. I have ordered a ton of stuff from Peak. I have 150 pounds of wax, 12 pounds of FO, a LOT of jars and tins, lots of dye, 48 scraggly bears, and a nice shelf for my supplies. Pics of my candles, tarts, and bears coming soon.
