Hello again everyone. You have all been a tremendous help and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!...Well..I started making scented jar candles. I checked past questions about curled wicks but no help. Mine are starting to curl down into themselves right from the start of the burn, I'm using a medium, zinc wick for 2 1/2-3 in. jars. My jars are exactly 3 inches. the wicks are trimmed to 1/4 Inch. Do I need to go to a large wick?? Any help is appreciated. Thank You....Gary

Hi all. You have all been a fantastic help. Here is another stupid question from this newbie! I know that everywhere it says what to use to color your candle. I would like to know..in an emergency..can food coloring be used,,and if so..anyone know how much??? Thank you for not treating me like the idiot I feel like.

Good day all. I have just now started looking into candle making. I have read some of the posts and realize that this could get quite expensive if I want to do it right! To just get started, to see if it's something I might want to really get into, I'm thinking of investing into something from Candle Creations sold at the neighborhood hobby store. It's their candle making machine selling for $38.00. I know it won't give me the real idea of full candle making, but is it something worth buying for now? Instead of investing a couple hundred $$$$. Thanks
