I put this fo in pillars and they smell awesome. I used 1oz pp. Guess you could cut down but it's not that strong so don't know how .5 pp would throw. I'm using it in 4625.

I sent an email to them requesting a sample but have heard nothing from them and that's been several days ago. Geeze I wanna try this.

yep, I'd like to know too, as I live in Northeast Ala and it would be great to have a place to get supplies that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg. I lucked up and found out the lady that I started buying FO from sells cases of wax and I got a case of j223 from her and saved me like 20 bucks counting the cost of gas by buying from her. Just hate driving down one mountain and up another one.

come on now, I've been waiting hours....but I bet it will be worth the wait. :smiley2:

Wow, those are really pretty. Love that color. I haven't tried anything but liquid dyes. Great job.....:highfive:

I just got a case of J223 and it has an awesome cold and hot throw but it sinks some on me I don't have to do a overpour but hate using the heatgun as it isn't just a zap with it like with the J50 I have to really blast it with the heatgun. Has anyone else had this problem? Didn't mean to hijack this thread but thought I'd ask since the J223 was mentioned on here. TIA

I got some clamshells in a co-op, but I just don't like pouring them, I'm too jittery to pour in something that small. I have about 90 of them and will sell them cheap if you are interested just PM me.

Sorry, I've never used them. It seems like I've heard it mentioned briefly a LONG time ago, but I don't remember for sure.
IMO, most of us who make candles do it first and formost for the art and satisfaction of creating one that looks good and burns good. Pre-scented and colored wax pretty much defeats the purpose. Besides, if you buy a whole slab and don't care for the color or scent, then what? Try to doctor it? That's a lot of wax to be stuck with. Just not for me :rolleyes2
My sentiments also. I love making candles because you get to experiment with colors, FO and all that stuff. It's a challenge (and I love challenges) when I make a great color, great burning etc , then go back to my notes and achieve that again. I think it's the artist in all of us (not that I would call myself an artist) Gotta keep those creative juices flowing. JMO:cheesy2:

I use red and black also. Can't remember the ratio, too lazy to go look.

I use 1oz pp and have tested a couple and it is really strong. I think the next batch I make I'm gonna use about 2/3 oz pp and see how that goes.
