Hey Everyone! So glad this forum is up and running again! Like many others, I don't think I realized how much I depended on it in my everday candle making. I need some advice... I make container candle's and have been for quite some time now. Lately, I have felt the need to experiment with pillars. (I have always been scared of them for some reason!) I made a 3 x 4 this weekend with 4625 and wicked with 51z. I don't know if I like the results or maybe it's just the wax. Would love some help from you guys who make pillars as to which wax you prefer and why! Thanks so much!
Hi,, I started with a peaks pillar kit that has 4625 and I have stayed with the 24ply flat braid,,I have tried other wicks but it is not the same. so I keep with this one.

Should be more of a yellow orange (more orange than yellow though) I'd think, at least what I have is. If you use the block to color on paper with, do you still get the cranberry color? Sometimes the look and the actual color are two diff. things.
HI Did the color on paper,,still looks cranberry. I took the cranberry out and tested it and it looks the same Oh well,,I will use it for something. Thanks!!!

They did not post a photo or give a discription of the color? Then how do they expect to sell something without it?
Yes they had the color on the site,,But this isnt what they say it is.

I have a retail store and when customers are buying Christmas gifts they don't want a holiday scent but something that can be used year round.
Thanks Candle Man,I was hoping that was the answer as I know if I got candles for Christmas,,they would be a scent I could use year round.
(Ive been smelling FOs to long,,,LOLOLOL

They use embossing heat guns for StampinUp Projects. In the F&Q that was here before the crash, says you can use either..Lucky I printed out the whole section on F&Q,,,,
Bought a Heat Gun for $20.00 at walmart in the paint section,,,

HI Everyone,,, I was wondering, I am making candles as Christmas Gifts Should I make them with Holiday scents or a general type scent. ( I know this is a dumb question) but I need advise please???

See I was also thinking it would be a deep orange with a bit of Brown. I was going to make a Pyramid, This is the second time I have been messed up by Ebay!!!! I need to stay away from there

Hi Cmspath,,are you wanting to ship them or just store them?. I use mens light weight cotton white Handkerchief's and store them in a cool place. (Before candle tech crashed I was told this by a very nice lady) she also mentioned to put tea towls to cover them. And the scent stays. It works very well.
I do have a question though. What DO we use to protect the candles for shipping purposes?? Thanks.
