I have 2 white cutting boards that cover my sinks and I put a bit on that to see my color,,,works fine:cheesy2:

I always heat my pour pots. If my pots are cool, the wax forms a film on the side of the pot, wasting wax. Hope that made sense. LOL
Ditto on this,,:rolleyes2

It could be you are pouring your wax to hot. I use this wax for both pillars and votives and I pour @ 175 then do my re-pour @ 180. Works fine for me,,HTH:cheesy2:

I would try the 36ply flat Braid with this size pillar,,, HTH

I have to agree that J223 and 4786 are my favorites for containers. I like my 4625 for pillars and I am getting ready to try 4627 for my votives and tarts.

When I get my wax,,I put it in the freezer and after 15 to 30 minutes I get to hit my hammer on it,,Helps relieve stress and I am not hurting anyone,,LOL,,,J/K,,,anyway,,I like making candles because it calms me and I can use creative skills that are swirling in the brain. I am a at home Mom of Teens and really need something to do with my time because I feel useless,,, you can only clean your house so many times a day,,LOL My Doctor doesnt want me working and neither does my DH so it was his(DH) idea that I make candles. now I feel productive everytime I make a candle. Im so addicted to candles:rolleyes2

I used 2 LX-12's...about 1 inch apart...could be a little less....what I'm going for is equal space all around the wicks and sides of the container so that I get a nice even burn. My J223 is finally here, so I've got a tester going right now in the Wally World container scented with Love Spell. Not exactly a favorite of mine, but it's for a friend...and man does it have nice throw. It's burning beautiful right now and no mushrooms like I had with the Joy Wax. Regarding the heart containers...I've seen members who have posted those in the Gallery...I think it was on the old site...and they used three wicks for those. I don't know what size they used but I'm sure someone will let you know once they see this post.
Thanks Fern,,,,Ill go to the archives and take a peek until someone posts,,
Please help with wick size!
