im making a gel candle with skeletons in it. I am using mp gel and embed wax . I let in cool but for some reason the wax still starts to melt into the gel . Not sure what im doing wrong.

I brought a embed wax, let my gel cool until i could physically pull in out of the pot and put it in the glass jar. I used a heat gun and this messed up the candle with wax going into the gel. THis is the third try with the first and second time just letting the gel cool and put the embeds in. None of the above has worked. I even put my embeds in the freazer for 5 min. Any suggestions??

I would like to see the gel side of candle making with more pictures. I always check the gallery and mostly all pic are of wax. I like wax but im a gel candle maker myself. I have posted a few before of what i make would like to see what others do and like to look at the pics in general. thank you

Did you measure the scent and the wax , depends on what kind of gel i use mp and i use up to 5 percent per pound of gel. If its over scented when you burn it will have a lot of black smoke. I have done this many times before someone on here helped me with it. If theres to much fragrance oil i would toss it and start all over by measuring the fo and the gel. I mix in one metal pot and then pour into a heated glass, works better that way for me.

What does everyone use for gel candles , for say wine glasses. I used the stick ums for just about everything but for the wine glass i was going to try the hot glue gun because i didnt want to see the white in the glass. My wick that i have found that work the best in gel are 51x32x18 zic doesnt smoke best wichk yet

i found some on silky time.com you get 4 for three dollars and there glass, i think im going to try it with those first and then move up to a little bigger glass. thank you so very much everyone.

I want to make my own embeds and i brought a paraffin wax that was suppose to be for embeds. They melted in the gel. Where is the best embeds wax i know candle and supplies . com sell it. Has anyone tried theres i would like to know if its good or not. thank you

I have a bride and groom i brought from metro , its like a craft store. They are cerrmanic glass . I tried to burn them to see if they were flamable it didnt catch fire. I dont know what other way to test to make sure its candle safe. Suggestions, thank you I called the store and the manager said he belived them to be safe but i wasnt taking his word for it. thank you

did u use a heat gun on top it looks like you did mine did the same thing. i have been making gel candles for over two years i made one last week with two much glitter and now you cant really see the angel in side. We make mistakes thats the way we learn. Nice candle

Alot of new soy candles has cotton seed in it and its being marketed as lotion candles. Since there putting in on there skin now there trying to eat it also. Even the new edible candle has lots of fragrance oil in them that say they should only burn for 10-30 minutes and no more. I dont know what there putting in for the fragrance it didnt say on the container but it was very scented. I just hope there not using fragrance oil and trying to eat it. lol people will be sick.

they are very scented and the company puts a extra wick in the metal can so you can dip and eat it or eat it when you pour on someone. To me i have to be very careful and test all my candle i make. I would not make anything you can pour or eat yourself. I think its crazy. Some one say lawsuit? Hope they have real good insurance.

i saw a candle today that is soy and says it is edible, i thinks this is crazy. Who would want to eat soy wax and i think that would probably hurt people. What do you think?? Its the lotion candle that is edible?

i dont like plastic molds i put clamps around the mold and it still leaked. I am trying to find a metal or silicone mold thats not to expensive. This is just a hobby right now.

i would even take a smaller mold if some one had one for sale this mold takes about a little over a pound of wax. I could use a smaller one. Right now im just going to make a few and the plastic one bites. thanks

i have the same fo even brought it from the same place. Its very very strong and i have noticed if i use alot less i dont have that problem.
