    I found these bags at hobby lobby, and was wondering if anyone else uses them. I have been using them in a double boiler, but wasnt sure if it would soak up the fo or not. I havent had a good sent throw either hot or cold with many of the candles i have made, so wasnt sure if it was the bag, or just the way i am doing them in general.

    For the time, i use my kitchen, but i am still learning. Hubby is going to fix the basement up for me to use. I have only been doing this for about a week, making something and testing it almost everyday.

    I was wondering if there is anyone in or around Oklahoma. I want to try and find a company to order from that is relatively close, so shipping isnt so much. The companies i have found in Oklahoma deal mainly in soy, and would like to find one that has other waxes. Thanks

    I bought some heart shaped containers the other day, and thought i would try to use one as a candle mold. I think it turned out good, for only attempting candles for a few days, but i should have put more then one wick in it. I have a good melt pool, perfectly round and everything, just not enough for as big as the candle is. Just thought i would share with everyone.     I bought all of my stuff at Hobby Lobby, and am not pleased with it much at all. The wick, i used is to small, i finally figured that out, it is for a container under 2 in. and my container is about 3. The only thing on the wax i can find is it is a melting poing of 130-135. I may be heating it up to much, cause i have been doing what the sites all say, and go to atleast 175.

    I am new to this, and have a question. I have made a couple container candles, and was wondering if my burn pool is right. I have been burning it for about an hour, and it is burning in the middle, but not around the edges. I think i need a bigger wick for this container, but not sure. any advice would be thankfull. Thanks :highfive:
