  1. I would respond b/c it is the professional thing to do, and she may decide to bag making her own and buy from you if she struggles enough. I would say something along the lines of what was already written about "glad my product inspired you, regretfully, that information is proprietary, etc," and then refer her to the National Candle Association at http://www.candles.org/. And wish her luck and that's it!

    I liked this suggestion best.

  2. plus got a free sample...and you know what..i think i might be addicted to getting the free samples , cuz i didnt order that scent so it was like a big surprize ..so i have FSFOCD? and i appreciate the nice little note that connie hand wrote..oh man....think i will cruise on over to backwoods now for a visit...:tiptoe:

I received mine too and I absolutely love each one and the free sample...which I can't figure out which one is the free sample as I was just aimlessly throwing things into my cart! Will have to look at my invoice!

I love the way it was packaged and I even enjoyed reading PA classified ads from the newspaper my things were wrapped in. (Found a RV in there I wish I could buy to travel around in -collecting Fo's from different suppliers) Was like Xmas!

I refuse to pour a candle until my sinus has cleared up so I can enjoy every ounce of these fo's.

Although...I was very tempted to pour an ounce of Backwoods Sugar Maple over my biscuits this morning. lol YUM-O.

TexasBrat you poor baby! Hope yours come soon!

  3. The supplier sent your FO in an envelope? Or box? I'm confused. If they sent it in an envelope, shame on them. I've never heard of any supplier sending anything (besides labels or paper maybe) in an envelope.

Well, it's a flat rate envelope. does that make a difference?

each time I order, comes like this. And always leak.

I could snap a photo if your unsure which envelope I mean.

  4. :highfive: Thank you! And yes, Chauna you helped me because I really like the pomegrante one's too! And the apple thingys. They are rustic looking and so much texture. I guess they look natural and that's why I like them so much!

Well, at least I don't have to worry for another year about what they are!

    haha

I am sure I got that from Vanmala.I was packaging some and granddaughter was helping. She said "I like this".Why?She said when you shake it you hear something.I am sure it was a seed.I forget the color of this or the mixture I got.

    LynnS

I like shaking them too. lol

  5. If anyone knows and can help me?

I purchased potpourri in a bag...I think...years ago and I love the look of this pod of some sort. There were only about 3 in the bag and I'd love to have more to make a different blend.

I think this came from Pier One, but I'm not sure. If I remember correctly, it was named Asian Spice.

Oh, and when you shake it, there's something like a seed that rattles inside.

    Thank you.

  6. Each time I get an order in, delivered usps, my box or flat rate envelope is opened/searched through.

Once, I received an flat rate box that had -damaged when received- or something like that... The entire envelope was soaked in FO, and I'm sure they were not very happy. However, the supplier placed a label on the package that read- non toxic or whatever.

  7. haha

Well, all I know is my birthday and Christmas lists will look a whole lot different from now on.

    Instead of:

gift certificate from linens and things

    new computer monitor

    bread making machine stuff

    etc etc

    Will look more like:

bartlett pear one pound peaks candles

sultry angel one pound candle cacoon

love spell one pound indiana candle supply

    pink type one pound lonestar

and so on and soooooooooooooooooooooooooo on and so forth!

  8. Would something like this help?

    http://www.candlewic.com/store/Product.aspx?q=cSustainer+Bases,p342

ETA: Very nice presentation of the experiment! Thanks for sharing.

They worked! Takes a few extra steps...to modify it (the way these are designed, you'd have to put the wood wick in on a slant, otherwise.)

I think I have figured out another way to use these tabs that I will be more satisfied with...but still goofing around with them. These are very thin metals.

I had been using garden shears for cutting the wicks to size. I am now loving electrician scissors. They really give the wood a nice clean/smooth cut-and you can't really notice which end has been trimmed. They look like these:

  9. well, I am not sure you can smell the coconut. But it does smell pretty identical to bath and body's coconut lime.

I am horrible with scent descriptions! I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. :undecided

I did buy an ounce of it. I guess the focd is really bad. I don't even remember putting it in my cart. It does smell really great oob. I can smell just a little coconut but I'm going to wait until I put it in wax to see if it's really there.

I have a little bit of coconut I could probably add to it.

I don't know what to pour first! The Med. fig...yum. I'm not too crazy about the Frankincense and Myrrh, but all of the others:drool:.

Wow and are they like super fast shippers or what!

I just noticed I also bought an ounce of coconut. I'm really starting to get worried about this fo addiction.

Short term memory loss for what I'm placing in my carts. LOL

I must have had the same thought-well if I can't smell the coconut in the coconut lime verbena, I'll just add a little straight coconut. I totally don't remember ordering it. Oh well! I'm glad I did!

  10. I think that's FOCD!!

    Susan.

    LOL!!

I'm ReALLy happy that TexasBrat brought this up because I was too ashamed to come out and admit I had FOCD. I'm in bad. Way bad. I need help!!

Question is...how long does this last? This addiction? Being broke don't seem to matter!

What do you do when you run out of cash??

Feel free to add to the suggestions so that we may all cope, LOL

    1. Call the fragrance supplier and exclaim that they forgot a bottle..

err..or two; in the order (joking)

    2. Sell stuff on EBAY to support the habit.
