    ky tart wax

Wish I had ordered just a little. with such great reviews I figured I couldn't go wrong. Just goes to show what works for one wont for another. I can use it for fire starters and dipped pine cones and save my other wax for tarts. Waiting on an order from candle source Raven gives it high reviews so I'm hopeful. Wish I could work it out with KY wax though because its only 5 hours away and I could save on shipping costs.
  2. Tried doing a search on this and must not be using the right words to find it. I know many use the same scent name as the suppliers but what about descriptions?

    ky tart wax

Sorry, another question... I've read that some add another wax to it the only other wax I have is gb 464 would that work or does it need to be 100% soy? I just hate to waste this wax. I can always use it for firestarters but would rather be able to make it work for me in tarts.

    ky tart wax

Has anyone tried adding co to this wax? Wondering it it would help HT issues and the scent not lasting I'm having.
  5. I'm just testing thier scents myself so far I've tried and like Autumn Magic Trick or Treat Bogieman Bite Me Cracklin Birch Mrs Claus Cookies Snowman Balls Elf Sweat Winter Garden Christmas Memories Reindeer Poo Santa's Whiskers
  6. k thanks I was just wondering if I had overloaded the wax and thats why it wasnt working well for me.
  7. I ordered some too, got high hopes
  8. Judy is that 6" sitting or standing? The outfits where pennies to make so I'm not too worried about that I could make dozens with the yarn I have.
  9. Never mind found it I had poured up a bunch of tester tarts to try and found that many of my good scents don't throw as well in this wax. They also don't last as long as my old wax. Most of my fo come from ng, bcn, bcs. I went back and looked at my notes and for some reason I was adding 2oz fo pp:shocked2: and no I cant tell you why I picked that number, lol. So seeing that it take 1.5 oz pp, could too much fo cause it not to preform as well?
  10. Can someone tell me the percentage please? Can't find it on their site and nobody's answering the phones today.
  11. No offense taken Honestly I have no idea how much to sell them for. I've had the bears for years bought them in the classifieds and don't remember what I paid for them or how much it'll cost if I have to buy new ones. The bears measure 10" from foot to ears laying flat but I'm not sure if that how your suppose to measure them:smiley2: Dipped them and scented with apples n oak from bcn. Made the hat and pom poms myself didnt take much yarn at all.
  12. I see your point, honestly I didn't think of it that way. I'll keep it in mind if it ever comes up again. As for offering her a replacement, since it was free and I get the feeling she's hard to please I didn't feel obligated. She did buy another scent from me and this morning said it didn't melt at all in her warmer. Honestly I don't see how, but I did offer her a refund, she declined so I went out to my truck and got a tealight warmer I use to give away with big orders and gave it to her with some tealights and told her to try that and see if it did better.
  13. Not sure if I should sell them as a pair or alone.
  14. I just got my first offer to sell in a real store! I sell and a small local convenience store but this is a REAL home decor store on main street no less and its going to open into a music store where I take lessons. His dad who will run the new store sells upscale crafts and has been featured in country sampler magazine, his son who owns the music store has a recording studio and teaches a number of instruments and singing lessons. I keep thinking of the possibilities, I could make a line just for musicians plus still do my lodge/cabin line. Like I said I'm excited and scared, this is a great chance and I can't help but worry I wont be good enough and what if everyone hates my scents and products.
  15. Commercial eggs are down right scary these days.

  19. I ordered a mold for Chistmas cookie tarts last week. Can't wait for it to come in. Looking forward to hearing what others say about them.
  20. I decided to try my luck on etsy but since I've only sold locally I'm a bit confused about one thing. When setting up for selling it asked me about shipping fees and shipping fees for other countries. Since I have friends in Canada who want to order this is going to come up. Do you charge fees for orders in the US or other countries? If so how do you figure the costs?
  21. lol, I'm so tired of not being able to wick my jars right, it's been years of off and on playing with them. I have some samples of zincs I'll try them first
  22. Not at all, I use it year long too. Our home is northwoods/lodge like and I love using woodsy scents. I'll have to order some.
  23. I noticed in the instructions they didn't say what temp they added fo at or poured. Would you mind sharing what works for you?
  24. I'll look for them tomorrow thx but our walmart never has anything you need in the craft section. They don't take the scent from the tarts? I can never remember which type of bags not to get. I put the smaller tarts in some 8 oz sq mason jars topped with rusted lids, looks cute but costs more to package.
