  1. I got it this week, actually. I like it better than Lonestar's Marshamallow Madness. It has less of a chemical smell than the LS one. That being said, it is very light, and I found myself adding a LOT more FO than usual to get the strength I like in B&B products. (Haven't put it in candles yet.) I have the Soapsilly version on order so I am interested to compare all the versions of marshmallow that I own... ~Sue
  2. Once you start adding water to anything, it needs a preservation system. Now, there are some very complex self-preserving systems I have heard of, but they are well-beyond the technical capabilities of the home crafter. (In terms of analysis and testing). Oh, and I just thought of something else. If your body butter is an oil-only creation, you will also need an emulsifier in addition to the preservative, FYI. ~Sue
  3. Hi, This company comes to mind: https://www.oakcourtcreations.com/ I have purchased containers from them in the past and the customer service has been excellent. HTH. ~Sue
  4. When I make magnolia melba (sans the raspberry), I actually do peach and a raspberry color. Customers really dig it. ~Sue
  5. My 6oz glass surplus jars arrived today. Woo Hoo! Just in time:rolleyes2 I must say, they lost a lot in shipping that order. I got 108 of the 6 oz jars. Total was like $24 plus cheap shipping. They arrived in 3 boxes that each weighed 18 pounds. I will never again see a deal that good... ~Sue
  6. I have marshmallow madness from Lonestar, and I like it very much. My DH isn't convinced that it smells like marshmallow, but I think it does. Now, I have not tried it in wax yet, just as a mixer in my scrubs. They have been well received (did a combo of hot chocolate, marshmallow, and vanilla bean noel). If you are looking for a sugar scent, you might want to try Homespun sugar from BCS. It smells like sugar to me :rolleyes2 ~Sue
  7. I don't have personal experience with this vendor, but I thought this site looked interesting for bases. She will ship flat rate, as well. www.soapersworkshop.com ~Sue
  8. Amazing Grace is a very clean smell. Definitely no hints of dirt;) Sorry it sounds like you got a stinker! I have personally tried both scent works and sweetcakes, and both are excellent imo. ~Sue
  9. I just got a sample of this one, and don't detect stinky feet! I wonder if there was something wrong with your bottle! ~Sue
  10. Royal Aromatics carries it, although I have not personally smelled this yet. They are a bit hit or miss with their dupes, but the prices are good. Here is another place with a dupe, no experience with them at all, though. http://www.goldstarfragrances.com/ ~Sue
  11. How about gently warming the base first? Then add FO and pour. Should be thin enough warm to pour. Hope this helps. ~Sue
  12. The soft ones (MDPE) are SO much easier to squeeze all the lotion out of, if that is what you are making. I like the look of the clear, but speaking on a practical level, my customers prefer the soft touch. ~Sue
