  1. i never waited. i almost always used mine after a few days (alright i almost ALWAYS used a little piece at the kitchen sink the next day... you know the tiny pieces you have left over after slicing, and you are so close to the sink anyways... lol) and no body parts have fallen off yet :wink2:

i want to meet the person who had the willpower to wait the full cure time before using any of their soaps, hehe.

  2. well i would think - and this is what i tell those who burn my candles - that you should treat votives like small container candles. to me this means that i should not burn all the way down to nothing. it seems that you would run the same risk of the holder getting too hot as you would if you were burning a container down that far.

i should add that i have seen others burn my votives down to nothing plenty of times, and i do it myself too when i test. i'm just answering as to what i think we should be doing, lol.

  3. what is controversial when it comes to your product is your judgement call, really. now this isn't a scent i'd push on my family (hey grandma want to smell my new POT candle? :rolleyes2) but i honestly think the average adult would not be offended by it, it's just a scent. it's not like you can get high off the candle. though i'm sure some have tried, lol.

  4. alright, my experience has been that when i order larger quantities of items, it *saves* money, right? well i am looking at the jars i get, a supplier somewhat near me carries them. i bought some from there a couple weeks ago, just 4 cases, none of them were broken everything is great, so i was going to order more. there is a choice for 12 cases, so i add it to the shopping cart, add the lids and go to check out, but first i decide to see exactly how much i am saving by buying this quantity... come to find out it is .10 more per jar to order this quantity than it is to order 4 cases. i did the calculations for each quantity from 4 - 12. around 8 it goes as high as .20 more per jar. i don't get it. i understand shipping goes up too, but this doesn't seem right? they ship ups and it's 8oz jelly jars, the cases aren't that big. so for now i guess i just make several orders of 4 cases LOL. anyone have any insight as to why it would be adding up this way?

  5. what are your thoughts on this scent? Does anyone really like it? I'm on a search for an almond scent and tried this one, but I'm thinking it might be a lighter scent because with all the pouring I've been doing lately, I can't pick up a hot throw. The cold throw is there, but light. I've sent them on to my mom and sister for them to burn, my mom says she can smell it, so I'm thinking it may just be a light thrower? I had this same experience with Vanilla Mint last year, which did end up being a nice scent.

Just curious how it behaves for everyone else. :)

  6. well, what i see is clear is that she dosen't even consider herself a big magazine. she "couldn't even imagine a magazine like Lucky having to purchase items that they feature in the magazine." she doesn't even know what she's talking about. she's saying you have little shot of getting into the big mags, so you might as well treat her like one and send her some free stuff! that's the next best thing right? :rolleyes2 haha i don't think so. if Lucky or Jane come knocking, lol, that's one thing. but someone on the internet you've never heard of? sounds like a great way to get free stuff. she wants your products, maybe take that as a twisted sort of compliment and send her email to your trash can and forget about her. that's my opinion anyways

eta: alright, i just checked this site out. i personally wouldn't bother, but that's just me. all it is is reviews of products. at first glance clicking through, i thought no way some of these companies sent her free samples for her little internet mag, but when i look closer, on some of the pages, i do see mention of some smaller companies that i have heard of that may have sent her samples, BUT there are no pictures of their stuff, they are merely mentioned in a paragraph alongside someone else's product picture.

  7. well, i have to disagree with whoever said to not take it seriously. simply because a few years ago i made clothes and had a little website for them - i didn't even have pictures up yet, it was just something i did on the side, and did very little actual business with it... still, i received a letter from a big clothing comany saying that my name was confusingly similar (not the same) to one of their many LINES and that i needed to stop using it. i made handmade stuff, - absolutely NOTHING like what they sold. i am obviously a big threat here. anyways :rolleyes2 they won, got my domain and that's it, but still, it's the fact that they even went after someone like me. big companies pay people to just sit on their asses looking at the internet all day, just hunting for people who come even close to their trademarks.

i think it is all a big freaking joke if you ask me, lol.
