  1. Testers testers and more testers. I plan to pour baby powder (hopefully that will test out ok so I can give it to a friend for her baby shower), strawberry cheesecake, and I haven't decided what else yet! Probably some Christmas' scents. Kelly
  2. Wow no one has any thoughts on this? I must have a really strange problem.
  3. So 125 @ MillCreek is the same as 415 which is the same as EZ Soy?? This wax naming and numbering is getting out of control! Who can keep up!!
  4. Oh sureeee! I give the formula first but someone else gives the same formula and yall think it's a magic trick! Where my credit? No respect I tell ya, no respect!!! :D
  5. Ah good to know my formula is right. Really glad to hear it because that's what I've been doing! Kelly
  6. It's online at their website in the message boards. I just found it recently myself and was paying full price without even know about the sale! Kelly
  7. Well I wouldn't have kept saying things about their business (especially since I like their supplies), I would still be upsetish though. I am super happy that Doneen was reading/posting, problem solved on my end and I couldn't feel better now about ordering more supplies from BCN. How could it ever be better for a supplier to ingore the questions/concerns/complaints of their customers? Without the customers they have no business, especially repeat business, which is important. Kelly
  8. Well I think (watch out), that each wax holds a different FO load up to 10%, so if you wanted to add 6% you would use the formula above, if you wanted to add 9% you'd use .09x10oz. I'm not sure if 1oz FO to a pound of wax is a 6% load though. Sounds right but I wouldn't say for sure. Where are all the folks who are good at math? 1ozFO to a pound of wax sounds like 10% FO to me, but seriously math was not my best subject, it fact it wasn't even close. I'd have to go so far as to say it was my worst.
  9. 8oz JJ's, Eco 8's, various FO's (example hollyberry), is it normal for the flame to get weaker as I get to the end of the candle? I would have thought it would get stronger since the jars are slightly tapered. For 90% of the candle the flame was fine, now it's getting weak when I'm at about 1/2" wax. Maybe I've invented the self extinguishing candle so people don't burn to the bottom! Kelly
  10. Well, if you want to add 6% FO to 10oz wax wouldn't it just be: 10x.06=0.6 FO ? I better let someone else answer because I myself am not only math challenged, brain dead from working all day.
  11. EZ Soy was .99 cents per pound and I could have sworn that the 415 at soycandle.com was 1.75. I'll double check that, perhaps I just misread. Ok I just checked and I actually looked at the price of ordering a pound of wax, not PER POUND of wax. I was at work when I looked at that site, my brain doesn't fully function when I'm at work.
  12. Eeks that link you provided in the other thread (www.soycandle.com) sells the 415 for almost twice as much as the EZ Soy. I wonder if it really is the same. I'll google the suggestions in this thread, hopefully they will be a little cheaper! Thanks for the help!
  13. If you know of a 415 supplier near Wisconsin please let me know. Thx.
  14. I let the BCN cure for two days and I'm trying it out today. I actually found out that I could use up to 6% FL-O so that's why mine weren't strong enough smell wise, but I have the tester right here at my desk and it taste yummy! As a avid lip balm buyer, I only buy those that smell good and strong, so to me that is an important quality. Anyway! Yeah, I agree the BCN pre-sweetened are YUMs.
  15. Well I was pretty sure on my own that either the recipe was wrong, assumed you knew what they meant, or they were crazy. But I just wanted to make sure here, that I wasn't going crazy.
  16. No kidding I'll be quite pleased if I sell out of candles this holiday season!
  17. I am very happy about it all. I don't know any other company that would go through this trouble not only to come here and post, but to help me try to find a way that will work for me contacting her in the future. Very helpful and I'm very thankful. Kelly
  18. I wanted to update this thread title but for whatever I reason I can't figure out how to do that! I wanted to say that Doneen (and another candletech member - who I won't name because I'm not sure she'd appreciate that) have went through some trouble trying to help me and hopefully we will figure this out. So I don't want anyone to have a bitter taste about the customer service up there at BCN, because I'm quite please with the effort that has been put into all this. In my defense I was crabby yesterday when I orginally posted this thread. It was a bad day and I was a little whiney! Kelly
  19. Yeah I ordered some EZ Soy early November, received it a few days later, then I read the newsletter. I didn't even get the discount on the EZ Soy because I wasn't paying attention! I should have enough for the Holiday Season though so I should be thankful for that at least! I may place another order when they get some in however, but I bet it'll be hard to actually get my hands on some since it seems like everybody wants some! Are there any 415 suppliers closer to Wisconsin? Kelly
  20. I did send the email to you (Doneen), I wonder if there is some reason you wouldn't receive emails from a hotmail account? I can't check to see if you received/replied to the email until I get home from work tonight (11/30). I may try typing it up again using my work email address, in which case if you have already responded you can ignore it. I don't really get why the first one wasn't received though, I copied and pasted your email address directly from the BCN website. The other times I have tried to contact BCN was using the online contact forms, so I'm not sure why those were not received either. Thanks for replying here, I feel much better now. And I was crabby yesterday. It is frustrating though why you haven't received the email or the questions from the contact forms. Hopefully it'll get figured out, because I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future. Kelly
  21. I'm quite happy with them as far as candle supplies though. Since I'm in the same state shipping is excellent, but I do with they would respond. I think "Flicker" (online help lady) probably won't know a whole lot about the B&B products. I may just take my B&B needs elsewhere. I've contacted several other places before and they were always very helpful and quick to respond via email when it came to B&B labeling questions or whatever other product questions.
  22. Yeah, actually it's the first place I checked. And the first time I emailed, I sent it to the general email for questions and this time I went straight to Doreen, no response either time. Hopefully I'll be able to catch live chat tomorrow but who knows since I basically have the same working hours they do.
  23. Well according to my email server yes, it was sent. And it's been a couple days and this isn't the first time I tried to contact them via email.
