Does anyone know the website for the wick setter that was advertised on the right side of the board several weeks ago? I made a note of site and have misplaced it. I did a search and came with nothing. TIA
Note: Was trying to do a new post and as you can see I didn't know what I was doing and now I don't know how to cancel and do it right.

Thanks for all the help.

I am having a problem when I use the heat gun to level the tops of my container candles with the wax melting off the wick. How can I prevent this? TIA

I know your mother will treasure the beautiful memorial to your dad. May you and your family find comforting peace during this sad time through all your memories of your dad.

I had the same problem with J223 in getting a nice red color. I have been adding 3 drops of orange to 16 drops of red ( 2 lbs of wax). It gives a nice red. HTH

In the last two batches of container candles I have poured, I have had a problem with several tunneling. I guess this is what is it called when it burned straight down. I haven't changed wax (J223 and soy mixed). Poured at the same temp and poured slowly. Could it be a change in the temperature in my pouring room? I have never had this happen before. TIA for any help.

Another hint -- Be careful about getting black liquid under your fingernails. Your friends will think you have a rare disease.

I am going to start expermenting with pillar candles. Is there a book that helps learn some of the techniques I see in the gallery. The only pillar I have made is one with 6228. It turned out okay but I see all the beautiful work and want to learn more. I looked at our library and they were very limited on books on candlemaking. I know a lot is probably trial and error but they has to be started point with the different waxes. TIA

Just wanted to add my thoughts for a speedy recovery for your husband. We will add you and your family to our prayer list. My husband is a diabetic also and I know how scary it can be. God Bless!

I would like the instructions also. (lhunter@cableone.net) Thanks!

I am trying to do a label for my candles. What info do most put on the labels? Where do you put the name of the scent if not on the label. I have a Printmaster program. I am trying to decide if I want a hang tag or stick on label. Would appreciate any ideas on each. Hope this rambling makes sense. TIA

I use a LX 24 with 16 oz and 24 oz apoth jars. My wax is J223/soy. I have had no problems getting a good melt pool.
